Yes, that's a sign of very poor preparation. A month would be the minimum.

I had to look up exactly what a 'bridal shower' is.
Wikipedia: "A bridal shower is a gift-giving party held for a bride-to-be in anticipation of her wedding. The history of the custom is rooted not necessarily for the provision of goods for the upcoming matrimonial home, but to provide goods and financial assistance to ensure the wedding may take place."
i. e. So it's another cash grab. It's another party to celebrate her, but really it's a cash grab. She needs more money. She overspent on the wedding, looks like.
And girls wonder why guys are nervous to get married. 'The big show' is frightening, cost-wise. That's just one concern, too.
I really don't know because here we don't have a bridal shower, the couple gets married and the people who were invited to the marriage ceremony will put money in the bank account of the married couple as a gift and that's it...
My uncle and his family lives in washington D. C, when his daughter uploaded the photos of her baby's shower, i thought that it was a real shower and didn't knew the meaning of it until i asked my uncle and he told that the people who were invited will bring gifts or money for the baby so i laughed cause i wondering where's the shower 🤣🤣
Now i'm adding new infos that also a couple before marriage receives a shower too 😂😂
Yes, it rude. Damn, and here I thought it was rude when I had send out last minute bridal shower invites for my best friend… and least I got it to them a few weeks before. Lol
(to be fair, I was waiting for the list of names and addresses to be given to me so I could make the invites)

I think that they should of least given a 6-week notice in the mail in advance cause it takes people time to get ready and to possibly buy a gift of some sort to take to it some people need to buy clothes to go and according to their paychecks or social sec checks they need time to be able to do it not all people can just buy things at the spare of the moment
A week? Seriously? Those need to go out about a month and a half or more so people can plans for it!!

Yea I dunno about bridal showers but I sent out my baby shower invites a month in advance so people could request off work. A week seems a bit careless.
It’s not a matter of rude but rather inconvenience. I’m sure the intended receivers of those invitations would liked to have known about this event at least a month prior or more.
Yes, super rude. It takes time to prepare a gift and get everything settled so people won't make plans that day. A week is too little time
