What do you think of couples publicly broadcasting their proposal?

They're looking to impress strangers to boost their self-esteem. I understand being so happy you want to shout it to the world, but that's different than the reality type shows people choose to produce. I'm all for spontaneous displays of affection and happiness, but major productions are beyond the intimacy and personal aspects of a proposal.
That they're just after attention.
That or, let's be real, they know it would be harder to be turned down if they have an audience (and they come off as appearing more romantic doing so). Thus making their partner look like the "bad guy" if they reject said proposal, or guilted into saying yes at the moment.
Personally I think it's overrated. Do it in a private setting, or at least with close friends and/or family- NOT in a public setting just to make yourself look good.
I think it's sweet.
It's nice to share good vibes with random people 😊
It makes me cringe so badly, the hairs on the back of my neck curl up.

Yawn. Yes, I know it's the most important thing in your lives. The rest of us really don't care. I think they're self-centered.
I just think its corney and over used. Everyone has done it. Need to be creative and do something fresh and new.
It's fine to say you're engaged but broadcasting the proposal is gross.
Too Needy fools wanting to be seen is what they are.
I cringe so hard. I hate attention seeking behavior.

I think they like to be in the spot light.
