Why did my sister-in-law ask me what I thought of her brother?

So during my brother's wedding rehearsal, his fiance paired me with her brother to walk down the isle for the wedding. Then on the morning of the wedding I was styling my (then) future sister-in-law's hair for the wedding and she asked me what I thought of her brother. I didn't know how to hold myself at the moment because I was so surprised but I said that I thought he was nice. Then, after they got married my sister-in-law's mother said that now I'm gonna be part of their family. I don't want to think about it too much.. maybe it all meant nothing but why did I think that was weird? Why did my gut feeling say she may be trying to hook me and her brother up? Is that weird? Aren't we technically family now?

She might honestly believe you two would make a good match, though the only way to confirm that would be to ask her. I dont find it particularly strange even if you are technically family now; if you had already been family for a long time then maybe more people would raise their eyebrows at such a suggestion.

It's not weird. It does sound like she may think you two might possibly hit it off and like one another.
