Is it a good idea to marry a US citizen and buy a family home instead of investing in real estate for US permanent residency?

No I'm not a citizen. I mean if I invest in US it will take more time to get a green card. If I marry a US citizen then I can get green card quickly, right?

No... not necessarily. There is an order of operation. You can't visit, get married and stay unless things have changed.

I think unless International Student or green card with say "Pfizer/Work" one has to return to original country (visitor/fiance VISA-ASK ATTORNEY) for a year and process formally which can take 1-2 years before returning. I know people who have purchased Rentals in USA while in this process. Ask attorney...
