As an Indian hindu guy, I always had this question in my mind since childhood. I'm still not crazy about marriages. Then why girls and women are so crazy about it?

Have you seen what happens when they don't make every honest effort to get married? Or if they date trash men too often? They end up working at Subway. I've yet to meet a Subway girl whose life isn't facepalm-worthy.

And if they're too trashy for Subway, or too gay, or too easily suckered in to Mother Jones and Occupy Demoncraps' BS? They become Tide zombies. And no sane man wants to be anywhere near a Tide zombie! There are apolitical streetwalkers who'd be a better use of one's time and emotional energy! It's hard for those types to hold down a job anywhere. They're too busy burning businesses to the ground, then screaming "racist!" whenever someone calls them out on their crap! Attacking preemptively, leaving trails of victims in their wake, yet using BS accusations of their victims to insist that said Tide zombies are somehow the "real" victims, making their violence a "virtue"! Then performing a rain dance to celebrate how many they've hurt, and how.

Women with functioning brains know they shouldn't want to turn out that way, as it leaves them fit only for destruction, for the divine to stomp them out like cockroaches, or weeded out like stalks of giant hogweed!

Then again, they want to accomplish more in life and be more productive than having to work at Subway to barely get by, afford their two kids with as many baby daddies, afford their meaningless tattoes, and afford their flavored vapes.

Marriage focus keeps them from spreading their legs before trash men. Not always a 100% effective deterrent, but better than nothing.

Also, if learning to code is too hard, they can rely on biological instincts to remain useful. A wise path to marriage, for many women, is far better than being a broke baby mama drama with a dead end Subway job. (Which, in all fairness to Subway, means they still have some humility and can admit they screwed up. The overly pretentious ones work at Starbucks instead. Those almost pretentious enough to become Tide zombies work for Ben and Jerry's.)

Back in the day, all young girls were told this would be there one special day. They would see Disney movies. They would see cartoons and even movies with their friends and family. It was their big dream to have huge church wedding.

Many women back in the day dreamed of being a wife. They dreamed of the big home with all the latest appliances and cooking fabulous meals, raising kids, joining the PTA, and becoming a soccer mom. Fun picnics with their families, road trips and eventually an exciting beach getaway.

Many of these women are the old guard. The newer generations want a husband to the same degree they want a pet. They want big careers and big shopping sprees. They want to sip wine and try new food. If they do decide to have kids, opt for the C-Section so it doesn't tear her body up too badly. They want constant romance and butterflies. They want to be apart of something big and meaningful to. justify their existence and hard work.

Moat settle for a small wedding in their 30's. Maybe not a white wedding dress. They tend to have at least one kid who will be promptly be put into. daycare as she goes to her job. She will have credit card debt, a nice car and neat home with crafting room, a big comfy bed and a place to store all her books, prescription meds, and shoes. Guys and husbands will come and go, especially when she gets tired of them or the messes she feels she has to. keep clean. But she will settle seeing her friends at a cozy breakfast joint because she is not a really great cook and lives quietly by herself hoping that the next guy will sweep her off her feet, even at 70 while arguing with her furbaby.

I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm a hopeless romantic. I'll completely admit I've had my heart set on finding my one true prince charming since forever. I've planned my wedding date since I was a little girl. I daydream all the time about my one true love. I've got my heart dead set on one day having a loving husband and children.

However, I've come to the place where I can say that I'm happy that hearbreak hasn't turned me into a grumpy cynic. That doesn't mean I've lost touch with reality of haven't experienced loss.

I believe the cynics are happy to win by caring less. I'm happy to lose by caring more. The cynics are trying to keep their walls up. I'm trying to tear my walls down. Honestly I think marriage is the most feminine thing you can do, as much as our society (I’m in the United States) wants to destroy the institution of marriage. Marriage is a beautiful thing. Men are suppose to provide and take care of the women they love as a man or a women you are suppose to leave your fathers house to join your husbands in holly matrimony. Now regardless if your religious or not (I am not as a matter of fact as an agnostic I’m the only one who can claim there non religious). Yes, being married is just a label at the end of the day, but so is dating. Labels mean something. Being married means you will be together for the rest of your lives and there's no going back, dating means you will eventually get married or you will break up.

I'm aware there are people out there who dont get married and stay together just dating, but dating is most commonly perceived as a temporary state. I'm also aware that tons of people have divorces and that is unfortunate.

In the United States, marriage is like walking into a chop saw for a man. There are many youtube channels devoted to the education of young men on the risks of marriage and cohabitation. women are great as friends and as sex partners. Just forget about the Disney movies where the man and woman live forever in marital bliss. 70% of men will lose half their wealth , lose access to their children and maybe even have false charges levied from his divorcing spouse. If a guy doesn't marry, he controls his wealth and his own future. If he wants a second home at the beach, no problem. If he wants a sports car, no problem. If he wants free time to pursue a side hustle, no problem. If he wants sex with more women and younger women, no problem. There is no reason for a man to marry in the United States. I have never married and I am thrilled that I avoided it. I came close twice but realized how dangerous it was and flew away. I am doing well financially and despite not have a very good looking body (5/10), I have been able to leverage my personality and good looks (face is 8/10) to have girlfriends and flings (and sex with women and guys when I needed it).

Personally I’m not crazy about marriage but it doesn’t mean I don’t have that goal floating around in my head. Me and my boyfriend have been together for a year and a half now and we talk about that goal. I hope to marry him one day and actually become part of his family. It’s not to escape my own family but because I care about his own family just as mine matters to me. If we were to get married and for some reason divorce I would take what’s mine and leave him what’s his and as long as I stay financially stable for myself I’ll be alright. Well, you see... men control marriage. A quality/high value guy never begged a woman to marry him. It's always the women begging the man for marriage. Men have way higher standards for who they marry than for who they sleep with or date so it's like winning a price/trophy for a woman to get engaged and married. Some women get married because they want long term with the guy. Others do it ONLY for the trophy. At any rate, in the US a man will lose 60% of his wealth plus ongoing alimony & child support in a divorce. But I do want the societal benefits of marriage: if I find a partner I want to be with for life, I want to have rights in case of an emergency... like if they were in the hospital, i want more say than his parents. I remember my husbands uncle drinking fireball out of flack during the ceremony, my father trying to hold back tears as he walked me down the aisle. My father in law officiating and all the cute cupcakes at the reception. I remember being in labor with my son for over 30 hours, my husband there every step of the way, the doctors concerned because he was inverted and talking about considering a cesarean section. I remember the relief of having my new born laid on my stomach after I was finally able to push him out and being shocked that I was able push him out. I also remember the months and months that it took to painfully completely heal from all of that……. You don’t have to believe me, because a human being is alive because I literally grew him inside of me and gave birth to him which is something that you will never be able to fully comprehend.
