I know some people will jump in to say don't generalize but a way too huge number of girls dream of getting married while guys seem not to care that much
1. Maybe on a subconscious level, they know that women benefit more from teamwork (in a couple) than men do. It's in her interest to find a guy who wants her on his team. 2. The wedding and wedding pictures are like a trophy. Women hold it up as proof that they have value since marriage is not something any sane man rushes into... the fact a man marries you shows he thinks a lot of you. Yes, you could say that about a woman marrying a guy to but, as you noticed, it's not guys who really ask women to marry them. It's the woman's idea/push for it in 99.99% of cases. Even if he does the official asking that she tells her friends about.
In my experience, men and women want to get married. It’s about live and commitment and many people in relationships want to do it. You may hear about a woman and her fairytale wedding ideas, but let me tell you, many men want the perfect wedding too.
Because movies make it out to be this incredibly magical thing. We watching Disney princesses get married and have their happily ever after from a very young age which imbeds that idea into our brains.
Well, just to over-generalize: For many centuries that has been the dream. Grow up, get married, etc. Remember that it hasn't been all that long that women have been allowed to support themselves, or that it has been very easy to do so. For most women, the best route was to find a good provider to support you. Without that, you were doomed to a life of spinsterhood living off the charity of family.
Traditionally, there has been more upside for women to get married (they get half of everything you own) than there has been for men (you lose half of everything you own).
I just plan to cut out the bs, find a woman I hate and give her my house.
In my experience it was the opposite, I really wanted and planned to marry, and she (when we first hung out) doubted if she'd ever want to get married at all.
Personally I've come to think a lot of women like it for the romantic appeal of yknow the vows and the rings and publicly declaring your love and commitment and such. My wife's mostly aromantic so that may be why I associate her initial indifference to marriage with her (mostly) indifference to romance. But I still think it makes sense otherwise as well.
People were created to reproduce and have kids and marriage is the only healthy way to get that.
People don't understand that having kids outside of marriage causes a lot unstable behavour and thoughts which causes kids to grow up scared of commitment.
That's why in today's world (feminists Era) men and woman are less likely to commit to a relationship.
a lot of mistrust in the air and unhealthy competitiveness.
Because only women gain benefit from marriage... All from the man. And if marriage falls apart, it doesn't matter who is in the wrong. The woman always gets everything the man has worked for. Many of us have decided that is not a sacrifice worth making. This CRUSHES men's lives. And the worst part is, nobody cares. They all assume we males can pull solutions to our problems out of our asses. So they laugh when they see a man that struggles to do that. And the women in the free side of the world wanna think they're the ones that have it bad. Lol
Religion. And for the not religious, The way there brought up with society messages even something simple like a toys of dolls with a marriage playset or something as such. Then other things that just depicted marriage as the dream goal for women. Guys don't really get that as growing up. There is a reason why boys play soldiers, girls played fake families.
It all stems from childhood really.

'Cause there are guys with pedophilic tendencies that think only young women have worth and women after their 30s are leftovers. These same guys are in their late 30s aka ain't attractive anymore due to their age which make them have baldness, shitty sperm quality, less energy and so more weight , etc. Many women are afraid of being alone when they dont get married and it also give them security. Women also are the one who get slut-shamed even if they were used for sex multiple times and so your husband can't use you for sex and leave you but your boyfriend can do that. Men dont mind getting used for sex since society admire men when they get sex but hate on women when they enjoy their sexuality and dont act like a innocent kid
A man without a woman is likely to do better in life than a woman without a man. Therefore, woman have a much greater motivation to focused on marriage.
I remember this one girl in high school who didn't really care too much. When questioned she would state that she is just going to get married. She was maybe a 7 or 8 so I never questioned the likelihood of her achieving this. I wish men could just say "I'm just gonna get married." but we have to keep society progressing uuugh.
Sometimes is it also because society have doctrinated that they should to fitt in, it's the purpose of life/happiness. or self made up ideologi.
If someone really loves someone for whom they are and are secure within themselves they just wanna be with that person and doesn't care if they are married or not.
Women act like men, put job first like men, ask guys out, and get into fights like men now. They even dress like men and have tats like men. Curse like men. So, i don't think there is that much difference in men not wanting marriage and women not wanting marriage. Women collect men like men collected women sexually now.
It is the overwhelming chemical-rush of the big party wedding and all of the friends there feeding her ego with envy. Unfortunately, the hangover of real life sets in and now wedding cakes have the divorce attorney numbers frosted on the side.
Guys care more than you can imagine but feminists have scared them all. Every guy wants to be married and happy, but they can not be expected to understand anything about women.
I have had female friends that would tell me all about what their weddings will be like. I think it is ingrained to them since they were little. They play with Barbie and Ken dolls and have play weddings. It is a huge deal to some girls.

I dont really know. In the past when women wanted to have children they wisely found a partner to help her with that and build a life together.
Now, women are encouraged to stay single, make money, not have kids and be a sexually promiscuous as possible. Most women dont want kids. I have a problem with women who put it off until their 30s and then look for some sucker to havce kids with. She spent her most attractive years having sex with many different men and now when she wants kids she finds a good provider. I feel that a guy should only commit to a women when she is younger than 30. Otherwise he is being used by her and will probably end up divorced and paying for her kids
