Do widows still call your deceased spouse your husband do you still wear your wedding ring/engagement ring?

I know that some friends have repurposed their rings. Like after remarrying or moving on they have chosen to get their rings remade in to something else or to sell the metal and reuse the stones. But I know most and particularly the ones who choose to remain in that relationship have kept their rings.

The 3 I know at varying ages (military) and old. Call by first name and live as married. The young girl does not date for 3 years. Old guys still wear their ring.

Some people do until they remarry. I think it’s part of the grieving process. I honestly wouldn’t mind if I was dating a widow and she wore it, even. I understand how significant the loss is and it’s not something you just “get over”.
