Or should I not worry about it...
+1 yIt means he cut his finger off in the lawnmower and that is really a fastener to hold the two parts of the finger together. If he flips anyone a forceful finger it will probably fly off. The less likely is that he is secretly flipping you off.

+1 yHi, here is what I found for you.
What does it mean if a man wears a wedding ring on his middle finger?
The Historical Meaning of Men Wearing Rings on the Middle Finger. It is believed that the ancient Romans were the first to start wearing rings on all their fingers. Men wore large statement rings on their middle fingers to show strength and authority01 Reply- +1 y
Thanks for MHO :)
Did you get his wedding ring sized in the middle of like summer? Cause it could just be the ring is too big for the ring finger XD

Some people have really weirdly like heat influenced skin tissue. Where if they are in hot conditions or are anxious their limbs like inflate. And its like their fight or flight mental state engaged. As a result their fingers kinda just inflate.
I've had a friend who was wearing her giant diamond ring went on a trip to like Egypt was working out in the desert got bit by a snake and they needed to cut the rings band cause her finger was swelling XD. (It was either remove the ring or lose the finger.)
+1 yCommunicate this to your partner if itās stressing you out. Most things are easily explained. I wear my ring on my right hand cause I am a dirty lefty. My watch too. Itās just easier to make sure it stays safe and I donāt lose or damage it. But I communicate this to my partners years before when we first got engaged.
Lack of trust is not a safe bet.10 Reply

+1 yI don't see it as a big deal.. me and my husband don't even wear our wedding rings since I forgot mine in a rental car like a year or two after we were married..
Like lots of other people said it may not fit his finger anymore, why not just ask him?19 Reply- +1 y
Did you try to recover it?
- +1 y
@love_conquers_lust Yeah he called them and they said they didn't see it or find it in the car.. I didn't care since I didn't like it anyways.. he sent me with his mom to pick one out and his mom basically picked it for me so.. meh..
- +1 y
āmehā is such a sad thing to say about your wedding ring. Iād think you would have been ecstatic, but you didnāt get to pick what you wanted so..
- +1 y
@love_conquers_lust Yeah it wasn't my type so I never really cared plus his parents kind of made us get married.. I wasn't ready to at the time.. and I don't really like being married but I am sort of stuck with the life I chose and went along with..
- +1 y
What did his parents do, pressure you? Hearing the word stuck doesnāt sound like chose at all, it sounds horrible.
- +1 y
@love_conquers_lust Well I was supposed to come and stay with him for a few months get to know him better in person.. see if we could live together.. but the day I came they like made us get married..
- +1 y
How? How did they have that authority?
- +1 y
@love_conquers_lust They didn't really.. but I just went along with it.. because I was kind of scared because like so many of his family was there and I didn't know any of them..
- +1 y
Thatās a sad story to hear as well. If youāre miserable now and they canāt see that, then they should question what they were pushing to begin with.
+1 yMaybe. His fingers might have changed size since getting the band, though. If it slips off his ring finger easily he may wear it on the middle to keep it from falling off.
Ask him why and see if he needs it resized. Hell, ask to renew your vows and do a re-presentation of the rings if you want.10 Reply571 opinions shared on Marriage & Weddings topic. Here is a crazy idea.. talk to him. Ask him why he is wearing it on his middle finger.

+1 yLOL, What?
What does it matter which finger, he is using. Maybe he just lost weight and thats the finger the ring now fits best.20 Reply
+1 yI don't think there's anything to worry about. Just that he's blind!

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yActually, the red flag is that something as trivial as wearing his ring on a different finger is prompting you to be suspicious of him.
What did he say when you asked?

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yI don't see it as a red flag. Maybe he lost some weight and the ring is too big for his wedding finger. Maybe ask him why he wears it on the middle finger
21 ReplyAs him if this ring is too big for his ring finger. If yes, bring it to a jeweler to make it smaller

+1 yMany men feel more comfortable wearing rings on other fingers.
It's no big deal.
00 Reply... No? He's wearing his wedding ring in general, right? I wear my skullring on my middle finger because it'll slip off my ring finger.

+1 yDid you ask him why is he wearing his wedding finger on his middle finger? Maybe the ring feels too lose on his ring finger and needs to be adjusted.

+1 yPerhaps his wedding ring is too big. If it fits his middle finger then I'd assume it doesn't fit his ring finger

+1 yMy first thought was what @Astarlessnightsky said. Maybe he lost weight and has not had it resized or does not want to do so in case he regains it. Or maybe it is more comfortable on that finger. Just ask him why.

The ring finger indicates availability.00 Reply527 opinions shared on Marriage & Weddings topic. I don't see a issue. My man barely even wears his ring
00 Reply708 opinions shared on Marriage & Weddings topic. If he's going to cheat, he's going to cheat. I don't wear a ring. I don't cheat on my wife.
00 ReplyThereās many reasons besides what youāre thinking. If his ring doesnāt fit on his ring finger, maybe get it resized.
00 Reply556 opinions shared on Marriage & Weddings topic. And thus the divorce rates are dancing around 50%. Its No wonder men don't wanna get married.
05 Reply- +1 y
Itās not 50% amongst the general populace. You have to dive deeper into that statistic to get its true meaning. Itās actually closer to 25% to account for recidivists. And the rate is actually dropping, but so are marriage rates.
+1 yNope. don't overthink it. this is paranoia to me

Opinion Owner+1 yNo, overthinking causes unnecessary stres, anxiety and destroys relationships as unit1 pointed out.
Overthinking isn't commonly associated with anxiety disorder because you "know shit better than everyone else"
Opinion Owner+1 yEveryone has red flags they look out for. That's fine. Deep thinking is solulation focused. Overthinking makes you paranoid and causes you to immediately go to the worst case scenario over something small.
- +1 y
Even the slightest change in someoneās tone, actions, or energy can throw off an overthinker. Like, one day youāre with someone and youāre having fun and laughing. Then the next day, everything changes. They act differently around you like you did something wrong but they wonāt tell you. But, theyāre ok with other people. And it makes you wonder, āWhat the hell happened?ā Youāll keep thinking that for the entire day trying to decipher why the sudden change.
Opinion Owner+1 yAnd that isn't a good thing. You don't "know shit better than everyone else" overthinking is destructive.

Opinion Owner+1 yHusband leaves home wearing his wedding ring on the standard finger indicating he's married.
Later in the day or night, he doesn't want to be seen as married, so he moves it over to another finger (it's safer than putting it in his pocket or somewhere else, and maybe losing it).
That way when he meets a potential woman who has a conversation or something else with him, if she ever asks, he can just say he's divorced or separated or it's not a wedding band.
Before he goes home, he moves it back over before his wife notices.
Opinion Owner+1 yShe's not overthinking. She's questioning, as she should be.
There could be a good reason for it, or there could not.
Maybe she's afraid to find out.
Of course women cheat too. But this is about a guy's behaviour.
My husband came home once without his ring on. I noticed rightt away. I asked him right away.
He took it off, and put it on his keychain to play golf. It gives him a blister when he swings.
Problem solved.
No fight.
Totally reasonable.
Opinion Owner+1 yI didn't suggest she ask him because it would've been redundant, as I read others'.
My husband and I don't wear ours all the time either. For practical reasons and it's just more comfortable. It's nothing symbolic. Nobody asked what culture they are, but that also factors in.
Yep, you've gotta have trust.
But you're also allowed to ask when you have a question.- +1 y
Oh yeah, š thanks. And I hope the OP updates about what is the explanation and really pray her husband isn't cheating.
It's really crazy some of these women are beautiful and decent to talk but their boyfriend or husband end up cheating on them with someone less. Really feel bad for them š
THATS WEIRD
