My mom can't make up her mind on when she wants to do the wedding party?

Hi, I am a 26 year old female and I recently got married to my 33 year old husband since me and my husband got married. My mom has been controlling my wedding plans. She's like I can't see my husband until the summer but I haven't seen my husband for almost 2 years, making it harder for us don't know what to do because I don't want to disobey her. I was thinking of going January and staying there for eight months. My husband does not live in the same area as I do. I should just listen to what she says, but just do what I want Right now right now I'm trying to save money for the trip to see him. I'm so so sad and frustrated.

Well you’re getting married so she shouldn’t be controlling you. This is your wedding not hers the same as if you have kids someday you wouldn’t want to control their wedding either.

Maybe it’s hard to see and maybe they mean well. But your parents seem like very controlling people. You’re a 26 year old woman literally getting married. Don’t worry about disobeying her you’re a grown ass woman. I’m not saying you can’t listen to her advice and respect what she has to say. But at the same time she should not be doing this
