If you marry the wrong person it can really screw up your life.
Especially if you’re a man

If it ever comes to divorce, guess who loses everything?
Well firstly the family and marriage laws overwhelmingly benefit women. And secondly, most women aren't worth marrying.
Because it's an artificial construct that is recent in origin and violates our true nature for both genders.
Only stupid, immature men are afraid of marriage. Marriage is literally all I want in life, and I can't have it! The fact that other men take something so beautiful for granted just pisses me off!
What men are those? I don't know any.
Being honest marriage should be scary. The last thing someone wants to do is spend years, decades, or the remainder of their life with the wrong person.
@Summeroflove I know what you are saying, but if you are scared, maybe you shouldn't be doing it.
To a point you’re right if someone’s scared to marry somebody maybe they aren’t meant to be or should wait a while.
But getting married is a scary thing. Anything life altering can be scary and is scary at least for a lot of people.
Some are and some aren't, it's cause many seem to not take it seriously.
Those boys are afraid of commitment. Marriage is my dream, and I’m eager to prove myself worthy of such responsibilities.
No its not like that, I am extremely willing to commit for the rest of my life. I am not however willing to sign a contract that means I get screwed over if she decides to leave. If she leaves trough no fault of my own she should be left with nothing but her own belongings, same if I leave. But the system doesn't work like that. What does work like that is a relationship without a marriage, so I rather just commit to her in that way.
It has nothin to do with fear it's all about accordin self-preservation very similar to how women actually preserve themselves when they get committed relationships from men

Wouldn’t you afraid if we’re a man? Women want this and that and they get half when divorce.
It's our women's fault if men are afraid of marriage these days.
Can be fixed by encouraging the legal system to adopt a new change in the laws that dictates a default win for the party who didn't leave trough no fault of the other. That way if he leaves her but it wasn't trough a provable fault, she gets a major victory in court so he'd think twice before just leaving. But unlike the current system it would also apply the other way round where he gets the win in court if she leaves for someone else. Under those terms I would marry, but not under situations where the girl leaves for another man and then the man ends up having to pay his ex wife.
Not afraid, simply not interested.
And apprehension about marriage isn't the issue so much as about a likely divorce.
Im a woman and im scared of that shit. Screw playing the blame game and only judging men for it.
Improperl rearing. Plus I don't think most men are afraid, it's just they are aloud all the fun they want without the commitment and responsibility marriage entails.

Because today a lot of people seem to be unable to make that commitment, although they believe they can and divorce is costly.
