I work with a ton of female doctors and lawyers. And trust me when I tell you that VAST MAJORITY of them are married by a certain age. So many of them have rings on their fingers, usually married to men who are equally as educated successful. Where did this notion that a successful woman will always have a hard time finding a man come from?
1 yLet me fill you in on a secret that’s not really much of a secret. Do you notice both the men and women bitching about the opposite sex… They aren’t the most desired people. It’s hard for them to find a decent person because of the way they are. They are sexist and feel as if the opposite sex owes them something.
I see women too who complain about how men aren’t providers and don’t want to marry a traditional wife. So guess what? People complain no matter what. Most of these women are just not the type of women that men who are marriage material want. Most of these women sleep around with men who aren’t worth a shit, chase all the good men away, and then cry about how they’re a victim.
The notion starts by people who are professional victims. Even if it’s not accurate of the majority of women they make other women look bad and should be ashamed of themselves.
It is just like dudes claiming there are no good women who want them. It’s more of a THEM problem then it is nobody wants to marry them.
Another thing is some people aren’t ever happy. A lot of these women I’m talking about also have unrealistic standards. So while they may have men who would marry them notning is ever good enough. When she does find a man that is someone she would consider marrying he sees through her BS and finds someone who has more to offer.

Asker1 yso its probably just the guys who aren't good enough for successful women that are ones victim playing?
- 1 y
Well it’s women too that claim to be successful but they aren’t very nice women. Who don’t treat their men very well. They want the benefits of a traditional relationship but also the benefits of what she’s doing. One sided. Most good men don’t want someone like that.
At the end of the day everyone is different. If two people married are happy. They can do what they decide on
The women crying they can’t get a decent man but you see how these women act and ifs no wonder
Asker1 yThere is no correlation between success and being a nice person. You're just saying successful women all treat men like crap cuz u hate women
- 1 y
I did not say that if you read what I said
- 1 y
Anyone witn basic reading comprehension would know that’s not what I said. There are many absolutely wonderful successful women who are amazing people who as young said get married.
I said the women who are saying “I can’t find a man” are the problem…. - 1 y
It’s the same for women who want to be a housewife but says “no men will marry me men aren’t providers anymore” when plenry of people are in traditional marriages.
It’s just those women aren’t attractive. So it’s not successful women… It’s women who are blaming men instead of themselves for being single.
Asker1 ymaybe if you just stopped whining about women, women would be more attracted to you
- 1 y
I don’t whine about women and I’m also called a SIMP for talking about men
- 1 y
I can tell you seem bitter, not all women are the same so when I talk about how some women are I’m not talking about them all.

For the ones who came from upper class families in the first place, this is normal. Upper class people marry at a much higher rate, and tend to stay together. It's part of the culture. Plus, they are less concerned with social ladder climbing, less impressed by money, and were surrounded by other wealthy, successful men their entire lives. They tend to be much more grounded and realistic about their potential partners AND have much greater access to the top men anyway. They tend to be willing to marry in their mid-20s.
The problem is the middle/upper-middle class women. They generally have less access to top men, but have super high expectations, and there are way more of them than there are top men. They also mistakenly believe that their career success and above average income makes them valuable to men, which couldn't be farther from the truth, and are also unwilling to marry until their 30s and most don't prioritize children. This is the group that struggles mightily. They all expect to get one of the very, very rare top men that isn't already married to an upper class woman, which means there are 200,000 women chasing after 300 men. That math ain't mathin'.30 Reply
1 yI myself am an educated woman who has a good career and also unmarried.
there are 3 reasons for that
first of all, when you spend most of your time studying and then at your workplace your chance to meet new people decreases
second, when you push yourself higher, your standards for your spouse become higher and because at the same time you re getting older, finding a suitable person will be difficult.
Third, you know I have everything now. I live in a good area of the city, once a year I travel abroad (every time a new country) I work …
you know I’m enjoying my life

Nice answer. Totally understandable for me
May i ask you a question? You enjoy your life, have a nice job, you travel. All great
But wouldn't you want to live it with a nice man that liked you, had also a good job, share happy/sad moments with you, beside you anytime?
I sometimes think going for higher miss our chance, cause when you have better job and while age grows, expectation gets higher too
As you said.

Anonymous(18-24)1 yI think women in general have an easy time getting married if they search for it. But there are some things to take into account. Successful women get married later than non successful women, especially as far as college goes, if they don't find someone in college or spent their time studying instead of dating.
However, and I'm basing this on personally evidence, when successful women get married, they stay married, because they held higher standards for the most part than uneducated women. Uneducated women are more likely to marry because they got pregnant, or to marry the first guy that comes along. This can turn out well, but often, it leads to divorce.
And then you have personal bias. Men tend to want someone who is either one of the above, or all, someone who cooks/cleans, someone who is there for them (as men often only have their wife for support), someone who they can take care of, someone who puts the above everything else (successful women will often put their job first, which is why they are successful), and/or someone who will raise their kids.
Successful women often don't adhere to these standards, so a lot of men will think they are undesirable, but there are many men who prefer what successful women bring to the table, that being independence, confidence, strength and self determination, and a higher income.

Anonymous(25-29)1 yMy friend is a successful woman. She is a Profess who is married to another professor who is equally educated as her. They recently tried to have kids, but the doctor told her she was too old. She cries all the time and says she told me her husband is thinking about leaving her.
I guess it's fine if you are not interested in having a family, but some women want to start a family. Another woman who is successful has a kid, but her son is behind all the other kids in class by three grades. So it's good if you want a career and are not interested in a family, but if you're interested in having a family it's probably not a good idea to wait when you are 38 years old and your eggs are mostly dead or in poor quality.
Again I don't have anything against being a successful woman if that is the choice you want to make in life.

Asker1 ythere are plenty of successful women who have kids. what makes you think you can't be successful and also have kids at the same time?
Opinion Owner1 yYou were asking why people think they have it hard time getting married I gave you an answer they don't have a hard time getting married, but when it comes to starting a family there is a risk factor. Age is a factor the older they get the more chances they kids with down syndrome, disabilities or unable to have kids at all. That's why people think they have it hard. Imagine you can't start the family you always wanted because you're too old or you have raise a kid who will be made fun because they are disabled and will need care for the rest of their lives.
"But not all successful women..." again I am just giving you an explanation, on why people would think successful women have it hard when it comes to starting a family. I am not anti-successful women or nothing like that. Women don't have a hard time making friends, getting into a relationship, or getting married.
Asker1 yage doesn't matter to women. because any woman who wants kids, can have kids prior to her child bearing years being over.
Women don't need to wait to have kids, they can have kids if they want kids. Only men need to wait to have kids. And often times, he may never have kids.
Age is more of a factor for men. As he gets older, his desirability to young fertile women (with plenty of options) decreases. therefore, the less likely he has kids.
Asker1 yand what makes you think all successful women are infertile? you really don't need to be 46 to be successful.
1 yThey do. The example you cherry picked are doctors, so lets focus on them being that you brought it up. Three fourths of physicians report that they struggle to balance home and work life. As a result 40% of physicians end up married to other healthcare workers. They work too much, so they find it hard to form relationships outside the hospital. As a result they just pick up someone they work with nearly half of the time. Both husband and wife are then extremely busy and struggle with home life, but they stay together because they don't have time to fight. Not much of a relationship. It's more so just pooling income for taxes.
00 ReplySuccessful women who are practical and remain grounded get married easily, whether the woman want to go out to earn for her family or stay at home and cook for her family.
She should accept that she has to cook more after having kids and it is good to be with a calm and serious man without being too demanding. The same applies to men as well, be practical, if you want to get married then reduce your desire for working women and find a woman who is happy with your earnings.
People who keep their heads on clouds are more likely to stay single.
Now the question is who is more impractical, women or men.
I see on social media and in life, that men keep crying for marriage more than women. But slowly that too is decreasing00 Reply
1 ytrue. might depend upon if they are business women. a business woman, if not married by a certain point, might give up looking, lack time and focus on career. then time slips by.
most peopel aren't married because they are broken in some manner such that they don't know what to do to move forward, so they avoid. it isn't about success...
it may be they divorced which can be highly traumatic.

1 yPeople say a lot of things and the reality is they back their thoughts in nothing more than how they perceive the world around them. Many don't investigate their feelings and test theories out. If they feel something is true they just believe it.
10 ReplyMany of these successful women are not feminine. Too often they brag about their job, degree, income, real estate, etc. But the reality is that's very off putting to men because those are very manly accomplishments. Too often "successful" women don't understand what attracts men to them.

Asker1 yits MOST, not just some
Anonymous(30-35)1 yIt's the victim mentality of feminist women who love to blame men for everything. The reality is that those women are undesirable for other reasons... their personalities, worldviews and attitudes toward men and relationships. But "men are threatened by successful women" is a great scapegoat and much easier for such women to accept than the notion that they themselves are the real problem.

Asker1 ysounds like you're on here to blame women for everything. you sound hella angry and bitter
Opinion Owner1 yNah, just calling out facts. Sounds like facts hurt your feelings.
1 yMost successful women are ugly, likely because their lack of looks precludes them from getting a man, making them concentrate on a career. Since most men don't care about a woman's money, and even in 2024, even well-to-do women tend to wed even wealthier men, many successful women have trouble partnering with a similarly-situated man.

Oh, to answer your question: because it’s true. “Successful” women tend to have very masculine traits, and that’s not something most men find desirable in their partner.
Anonymous(36-45)1 yYou see a lot of successful women who have ALSO managed to have successful relationships. But if you read what wrote and think about it, you'll see where SOME challenges lie in the relationship space for professionally successful women. The key like is "usually married to men who are equally as educated (and) successful."

Of the 50% of divorces filed...70% are filed by women. 90% if college educated (successful by your standards)
Asker1 ycollege educated, well earning women actually don't make up a significant portion of the female population. So 90% out of just 25% of the population ain't much...
