Absolutely not. You MUST be with the right person before getting married. Never get married just for the sake of it. That's being foolish. Yet I used to know a (not so smart) person who said if she wasn't married by the time she was 30, she would do something (I forget what). And she wasn't the nicest person either, a coworker who was hired by family or someone she knew at the company I worked for. That's for you, Janet!

If you're already with the right person what does it matter? Ownership? Less living expense? Marriage has its plus and minus list depending on how reliable each person is. It won't stop people from cheating if they are predisposed.

Focusing on what type of person is best suited for you, looking for someone who makes you happy as can be who pushes you to do your best / encourages your dreams and aspirations is the kind of person you want also need in your life.
Marriage can and will wait, it doesn’t even have to happen. All up to the individual.

The message here is that marriage is an extremely dangerous choice for men, who often lose their money, property, and children in divorce, which has a 70% probability of occurring within the 5 years following the marriage.

It is certainly possible to have a satisfactory relationship without marriage, but women press for marriage because of the advantages and leverage it gives them.

This is primarily true in the US, where women have literally weaponized the legal system against men in family law courts.
