What do you think about cousin marriage?

I have a cousin who is 4 years older than me, and I just can’t imagine being married to him. I see him as my older brother.

I feel uncomfortable with that thought. I consider cousins as like brothers and sisters that simply weren't raised in the same house I grew up in. So, I can't even imagine marrying my own cousin and when I hear about cousins getting married, I feel awkward.

I think by cousins, she means her uncle’s (Maternal brother) son. In my regional language (Bava). They can be their cousins as well according to the relation things.!

I see. Like I said it might be normal in other cultures but since I tied rakhi to my cousins and my uncle was like my dad. So, you can understand why I'd feel bit awkward.

That depends on the culture, the place where you come from might be a region, or a state, or a country.

I think sex is just sex. If you are not planning to have kids with your cousin, I think it's same as doing it with some other person.

Other than that, it has an advantage of trust. You know that person won't hurt you or break your trust.

Only problem is having kids, which can be adopted.

First cousins would be a hard NO - too much shared genetics. Beyond that by the time you get to third or fourth degree of separation there's enough diversity to go round...
