Yes, it's nature's way.

It's all about children. Women are the ones who have the babies and they need someone to provide for and protect themselves and the children. Someone who is devoted to them at least for as long as it takes for the children to be able to take care of themselves. Marriage helps that happen. But that's why so many marriages collapse when the kids are grown.

Men can live without that.

So anything that binds men to the women benefits women and they are naturally looking for it.

They definitely do. Most intelligent men don't want marriage because they know it is just a way for women and courts to abuse and steal from men.

I think girls just want to be loved and respected. Marriage is a romantic ideal and I think we're all romantic at heart and I don't think there is one gender that wants marriage more then the other.

It's not true for everyone, but I think in general women have always wanted marriage more than men. It seems especially true today because a lot of men are against marriage now.

It’s not marriage that they want, per se. It’s the easy, government sanctioned means to drain men’s resources that women want. No woman on Earth will covet marriage once the government implements policies and practices that extort resources from men for the benefit of women and their children, in lieu of marriage.

With a realistic divorce rate at 75 % ( this includes those who simply " stay together " for convenience/ children.. have sex 3 times a year ) , I would certainly hope that NO intelligent female would want marriage , certainly in its current form.

Now the word " girls " implies VERY young , maybe they are idealistic and stupid , but the answer is NO , few wish to participate in this ludicrous outdated fantasy , it simply does not work , the institution is completely SHOT.

I think it's reversed from years ago. It used to be men who wanted a wife to look after the house, children etc and have a home cooked meal to come home to after a long day at work.

Now with the divorce rate so high and women being more independent, fewer men want marriage for the risk of losing so much that they worked for. So now it's women that want marriage because if it doesn't work out, they will get a nice settlement to move on with.

Yes they do. Most of my male friends don't want to deal with relationships with women other then just being friends. Most of my female friends are tearfully lonely and wanting nothing more then to have a husband. Women have given me so much grief I the past that can't feel anything romantically for them anymore, Most Men by 50 are damaged and young women did it to them.
