Why is someone with 4 failed marriages by the time their 30 something looking for yet another potential marriage?

I was talking to this woman from a CONSERVATIVE app of all things, and at first I was under the impression it was one and she had good reasons, okay, I'd consider it... and then she told me she had FOUR and was telling me the reasons to explain all of them away. And I'm like... I'm not interested in being anyone's fifth husband. I'm thinking this is insane. How can you get in to four serious legal marriages like this? Seems careless.

Sometimes people rush into marriage not out of love, but out of fear, fear of being alone, fear of missing out, or fear of facing themselves..

When that happens, no matter how many times they try again, the outcome rarely change cause the pattern stays the same..

Marriage should be a conscious choice, not an emotional escape..

If someone’s been through 4 n still hasn’t paused to heal or reflect, then maybe what they’re chasing isn’t partnership it’s validation.. 😪

It’s not as crazy as you think. My stepbrother is on his second engagement. His first marriage only lasted 2 years, barely. They got divorced because his work took up more time than she was okay with so they divorced. He just chose a woman with strong boundaries. He’s also under 30.

After 4 marriages, there comes a time when one needs to realize they are choosing bad companions, or they ARE the bad companion, or at best it was 50/50. That's a lot of "woman-splaining" to explain away.
