What do you think of someone putting on their wedding website that you can only RSVP with a guest if your invitation includes one, AND no kids?

If I had young kids, and I could find a reasonable baby sitter, I wouldn't have a problem with an adults-only ceremony and reception. It's their wedding, not mine.

I think that’s fair. They are telling you up front. No rug rats and no surprise +one. They are paying for their day. They get to have it their way

You can feel free to RSVP - will not attend. That’s communicating up front too. You’ll save several hundred dollars.

The invitation part is normal. I used to think the "no kids" part was also weird, then I went to a wedding when a bunch of rugrats were screaming the entire time and realized that the rise of childless weddings was due to the rise of terrible parents.

Well it would be their choice and perhaps with good reason , limited number of guests , venue rules because of event / insurance , cost etc etc

It's perfectly reasonable to not include children in a wedding. Forbidding invited guests from bringing a date seems pretty mean. If I had a partner who wasn't invited I wouldn't attend.

Sounds like the bride and groom have a limited number of plates and it’s a no-kids wedding. Sounds like a lot of time and effort went into planning it. Respect that or fuck off and don’t go

That's true of all invitations, you can't bring a guest unless both are named, or 'plus one.' And many weddings don't allow kids.
