Do you think lack of options help a marriage's survival?

Everyone knows of a youngster in their 20s who married then divorced in 30s. Then they marry again in their 40s and are able to maintain that marriage successfully forever. Or someone spent their 20s and most of their 30s dating around, keep complaining that they can't find the right person- dating so many people. Then as they get old in their late 30s or 40s, they manage to scramble for someone and maintain that marriage forever.

do you think that it could be because these people realize that they can't attract dates like they used to since they're getting older, so then they will just settle for whatever is left?

People date around when they're still young, hot and still have options. But get married only when they realize they can't play around like they used to... so they will settle for marriage
