I thought she was the one but we got married way to young. And after we or she got pregnant and then had my son she completely change from night to day.\n I stuck it out for quite a while but I couldn't take it anymore so I left that was one of the biggest mistakes because for the nextsix years, she made my life miserable hell but I made it through, okay.

I think now he has found the right person and I probably never will cuz I wasted my time with him, plus I don't trust men at all anymore.10 Reply
6 moNeither yet but my current partner is wonderful. God has smiled on me in my choice of both partners and close friends.

6 moNeither. And I refuse to settle. It's either my dream girl or no one. My dream girl isn't necessarily a model. They could be a 7/10 in physical attraction, as long as I am physically attracted to them. But the main thing that makes a girl a dream girl for me, is that they're compatible with me in almost every aspect. Views, interests, goals align, sense of humor, sexual compatibility, etc.

6 moPeople who settle unless they are honest with someone. Most aren’t…. You’re not only hurting yourself. You’re hurting another person who really may genuinely love you and believes that you love them back.
It leads to affairs. And eventually divorcing and breaking up.11 Reply- 6 mo
Because let’s be honest. Most people who settle are still seeking the perfect person. Even while married or otherwise in committed relationships

u 6 moI have learned not to have a dream person because that just forces me to either reject everyone else, or feel that I have settled.

6 moI don't believe in a dream person, but I didn't settle. Both of the women I've married have been good partners.

6 moI never dreamed of any type of woman in the general or typical sense it seemed , and still seems crazy to fixate on any particular woman visually when who she is / is of far greater importance to me. In other words I’m very aware of my slightly above average looks but stellar character.
It took me considerably longer than I would have wished to find my partner and to be honest I was loosing hope fast when I did so maybe I did settle? But then I’m not married so maybe my story isn’t over yet all I know is I’m the happiest I’ve been in a relationship.10 Reply858 opinions shared on Marriage & Weddings topic. I met my future wife at a time when I was going to give up dating for a while maybe forever. We had so many things in common it was sort of eerie. We lived near each other but we met a couple of hundred miles away. We had gone to some of the same concerts and events and she worked at the local cinema and once I was there waiting in line for popcorn and a fight broke out and everyone started pushing and shoving and the manager and a couple of other guys came out and started kicking people out. My wife was behind the counter and she remembered the fight.

We dated while she was a grad student. She was my dream girl. My world revolved around her. Before she finished her studies, she broke up with me.
A few years later, we got back together and eventually married. We're happy, but it's never been the same.
So, yeah, I suppose I settled.
10 ReplyMy dream guy asked me to marry him several times but I said no because if we got married the government would take away half of my retirement check.
Otherwise I would have married Patrick, my love.❤️18 Reply- 6 mo

That's just what the government does in America. 🇺🇸 - 6 mo
Couldn't have just lived with him instead?
- 6 mo
@SieghardWalsung
We did live together for 1 and a half years until he died suddenly in September of 2023.
My heart is still breaking 💔 - 6 mo
Get therapy then.
I'm not going to sit here and encourage people to romanticize their grief by coddling it. - 6 mo
@SieghardWalsung
I don't need therapy because I'm okay with it.
Why are you being so gruff with me.
I don't even know you so why would you I need YOU to coddle me? I don't need you! - 6 mo
"I don't need the-"
You've been grieving him for years and it's clearly consuming your life in some way.
You need therapy.
You're romanticizing it and expecting people to coo over your issue.
Suck it up. Get help. - 6 mo

Why is your profile picture so ugly? I guess you're ugly inside AND outside!

6 moNo I did not settle! Wasn't looking for a dream guy when out of the blue he shows up. That was 15 years ago and we've been happily married ever sense.

Someone I can't have
Opinion Owner6 moHaha why?
- 6 mo
Because he doesn't want to be with me anymore
Opinion Owner6 moWhy? What makes them your dream person
- 6 mo
Because he's everything I could ever want in a man. He has everything... intelligence, kind, nerdy handsome, funny and compassionate.
Opinion Owner6 moOh. And how does the person u wanna settle look?
- 6 mo
He's short but taller than me. He's about 5'6 but that doesn't matter to me.
Opinion Owner6 moWny do u feel u are settling?
Opinion Owner6 moHow is he lesser than your dream guy
- 6 mo
I said he is my dream guy. He's not lesser than because he is that for me.
Opinion Owner6 moWhat makes him so special
- 6 mo
I told you his intelligence, kindness, compassion for others and humor. He's different from a lot of guys I've encountered. He would never look at another a girl while we are together and he would never cheat. He also isn't a horndog. He doesn't talk about sex really. He rarely does in fact. Which most men do that I have experienced. He's truly special.
Opinion Owner6 moOh how do u both look
- 6 mo
Short lol and small... two small peas in a pod lol
Opinion Owner6 mo🤣haha. And your races?
- 6 mo
Why does our race matter? We're both human lol
Opinion Owner6 moIt does sadly
