If I get married I would be happy with a small quiet wedding, but I would like an exotic honeymoon, somewhere like the Seychelles or Bali.

Where would you like a honeymoon, or where did you have your honeymoon?

Thank you everyone for sharing your honeymoon experiences, and hopefully the ones you are going to experience in the very near future.
I've enjoyed reading every reply and you’ve given me ideas of places I might like to visit should I go on a honeymoon, and hopefully I can give you my experiences in the future.

Well I am going to say somewhere warm and sunny. Whether that is someplace exotic as well is to be determined. I am engaged and unfortunately we have not set a date yet due to my partner's impending surgery on her ankle. This will be three years in a row of surgery trying to correct the issue. Because of this there was no way that we could have set a date in 2026. We are thinking about summer next year. Once we have that set then we will start thinking about a honeymoon and where we might want to go. We talked about it briefly and want to go somewhere neither of us has been. I have some friends that have given good input and suggestions of places they have enjoyed. Our main goal is not to be a tourist but relax.

We were poor when we got married. We went to New Hampshire in January. We stayed at an Inn that had cabins in the back lot. We stayed in the cabin on the end that was named "The Hermit" . It had a woodstove and there was no TV or anything fancy. The food at the INN was excellent and we went cross country skiing and visited some of the other tourist traps. It really was a great honeymoon.

We visited the Inn a few years later and stayed in a modern cabin across the street that had a big TV and a ot tub. Sadly "The Hermit" had burned down ans left an empty lot.

i love italy. so i wanted to spend an extended amount of time there any my wife was on board. we spent 14-days in italy. flew into milan, rented a Fiat and then spent the next two weeks on tour (venice, Tuscany [florence, pisa, montecatini terme], Assisi, Rome, Amalfi Coast).

Incredible food, fun drives, art, museums, roman ruins, iconic cities, scenic mountain stays, and finally about 4 days on the beach. it was absolutely epic. my wife and i still talk about how much fun we had and how much we want to go back

I got married in April, 2024. After the stress of that week, we wanted something easy and relaxing, so we spent a week in a beachfront condo on Hilton Head Island.

Not planning to get married, but if I did, I would like to go to a small cabin in the woods on a good sized piece of property such that we could be completely left alone. We could cook on a campfire or just sit out in the woods and enjoy nature, and just be away from all of the normal stresses of modern life for a while.

That's the dream.

My wife and I live in California. We honeymooned for two weeks in New England, mostly Massachusetts and Vermont, in October at the height of fall color. It was magical.
That had always been on my bucket list and it was great doing it as newlyweds. We had the best time.

We went to New Zealand's North Island. Gorgeous and peaceful... very conducive to honeymoon-like activities.

But we were young and poor. I'd probably go somewhere fancier these days... I always wanted one of those Pacific Island over-water bungalow things...

My fiancée and I want to honeymoon at Disney World. I've been multiple times with my family, and she went once with us. One thing she wanted to do and didn't get a chance to was to swim with the dolphins and feed them ice chips. So, next time we go, we'll make sure that we can do that, otherwise we'll just do things we like.

Not immediately after our wedding, the 2nd stage of our honeymoon was spent hopping from Tahiti to Bora Bora to Fiji and back to Tahiti.
