"A prenuptial agreement, antenuptial agreement, or premarital agreement, is a written contract entered into by a couple prior to marriage or a civil union that enables them to select and control many of the legal rights they acquire upon marrying, and what happens when their marriage eventually ends by death or divorce."

It's basically a contract to ensure the married people (usually the man) won't lose a lot of their wealth or assets if a divorce happens and ensures the other person (usually the woman) won't take a large percentage of the partner's wealth if a divorce happens. So it's like Divorce Insurance.

So ladies, would you agree to a pre-nup with who proposed to you, or you proposed to? Why or why not?

Guys, would you make your fiancée sign a pre-nup prior to marriage, and not marry her if she didn't? Why or why not?
