The Colors of Love & Their Meaning

Valentine's Day is not only for those in love. It is also a celebration of love for your family and friends. Roses are the flower most given on this day, but whichever flower you give, what matters is the color!

Different colors convey different messages, this is their most popular meaning:

Pink

Pink roses are the color to give if you want to say "What would I do without you." They are a great gift for your parents, sibilings and grandparents. They mean affection and trust.

White

White is the color of purity, innocence and eternal love. The bride wears white, the white wedding flowers represent a never ending love. When you give white flowers to your beloved you are saying "I'll love you until the end of time."

Red

Red is the color of carnal love, of desire and fire. Red tells the other person that you want them from head to toe, now!

Purple

Purple is the color for health. If you'd like to wish a prosperous and healthy life to someone, purple is your color.

Yellow

Friendship's color is yellow. You say "You are my best and dearest friend." This is also the color for Birthdays and Celebrations.

Blue

Blue is energy's color. If you want to wish good luck, strength or just give thanks for the good advice, this is your color. Blue is pure appreciation.

I'd rather my boyfriend give me a blue rose simply because they look a fuckton more gorgeous than red ones.
