What's the best first car to get?

Something that is small, easy to part, not expensive to run and importantly not new as pretty much every new driver has dings etc, which cause dents, scratches etc, it’s just part of owning a car.

Something the size of a Peugeot 208, Ford Fiesta etc link below gives various types, UK orientated so not sure on prices in other countries.

Things like running costs, are fuel, tyres, insurance, and servicing / maintenance.

Also no matter what car you get, learn about it, how to change things, even do a very basic car maintenance course.

I got a Nissan Versa in 2013 and it still works great. Very reliable, good on gas, I fit in it comfortably, there is plenty of trunk space, and the air conditioner works great. :)
I'd recommend that based on my personal experience.

Reliable for sure. Not sure if you have to pay for it or parents are helping. My car right now I am leasing, just so I can trade it in for new, every couple of years.

For me it would have to be a 4x4 that's all I have ever owned because it shows here and I like to 4 wheel

My wife has a Ford Escape. It is a small car but rides like a bigger car. It is pretty roomy inside and it has a 4 cylinder engine that is pretty quick. It is well made and is very comfortable.
