I was unemployed for 5 months and had to take care of myself. By the time I started working, I had 3k in credit card debt. Now 4 months later, I have 1.2k in credit card debt & that much in my savings. It’s been hard to catch up

Your broke if you don't have a steady income that will keep you secure or rich enough to not care about a stable income.
Because otherwise all you have a limited money that will run out and if anything goes wrong or it does you be screwed.
