Buy others things they can’t afford for themselves, or things they might never splurge on despite being very deserving.
Start or support charities. Build up your community.
People who are so wealthy that their children are born with no need to work are proof that there IS such a thing as “too much money”. Those people could literally change the world for the better if they weren’t so damn greedy.

Real estate often increases over time. I would not be interested in long term rentals, as you never know who you'll get.

I have a waterfront cottage, that I do short term rentals (weekly/weekend) and it is a great way to make money. I am pretty good at screening the people and have had only a few idiots in the last six years.

I have other land development investments that I got in on over time, some severances, subdivisions and golf courses.

I'd buy an organic farm with several homes on it and hire a farmer to help me. I'd bury the rest of the money. I'm not talking part in digital currency or Bill Gates' poisonous agricultural program.

Once retirement income/savings are secured, more investments and charity. I'd normally say more real estate, but with the Biden Admin now floating nationwide rent control not so sure till that resolves. There is little worse financially than being forced to take a loss because of government intervention.

Right now, it would be to get ourselves out of IRS trouble. My dad and I weren't working for a long time and my mom was barely working (this was all under trump), and so, now we're in trouble with the IRS. So, if we got a bunch of money now, I would give it all to the IRS and hope they get of our backs
