Gucci sunglasses as a bday gift for boyfriend of 4 months?

I’ve been dating my boyfriend for 4 months and I asked him if he liked Gucci and he told me he wasn’t sure because he never could afford things like Gucci. His favorite color is blue so I ordered him blue Gucci sunglasses.

However now I’m a little nervous because on the phone recently in conversation luxury brands came up and he made a comment that he wouldn’t spend so much money on something just for it to say a certain thing like Gucci.
He obviously has no idea I have this gift waiting for him as part of his presents and i feel almost embarrassed I personally just think it’s not a necessity no but it’s nice to have some items in things you might enjoy that are luxury brands.
I’m nervous he will think it was a dumb purchase something he won’t really feel was worth me spending money on.

No way I’d wear Gucci. Like someone else pointed out seems “gay” for a man, especially if he’s manly. If he’s a little feminine ok he may like it. I’m thinking something like Oakley as someone pointed out, maybe RayBan. Prada is basically the same as Gucci, so no. Something sporty. Maybe Tom Ford, but nothing like Versace or any of the other two mentioned.
