No no no. You don’t treat a BMW like a Honda or Toyota. These cars are very precision and require heavy by the book maintenance at the exact mileage required. If you don’t they fall apart all over themselves

All European imports the scheduled maintenance is higher. All cars have maintenance costs to keep them running but with European imports it’s much higher mostly because of parts. You buy one of these knowing all this. If you think it’s just another car you’re going to be disappointed. These are the highest maintenance girlfriend or wife you’ll ever have

Depends on the mileage but timing belts are a big issue. The manual says 60,000 miles but they’ve been known to break at 50,000 so most in the know owners replace theirs every 45,000. Quirky cars you marry. I’d say per year mine were doing maintenance of some kind around six to eight times per year
