How bad is your Amazon addiction?

I'm literally on GAG and Amazon RIGHT NOW, it's bad, I'm addicted, hook it to my veins!!!!

I'm "not-not" saying I bought a couple things this week, last week...

I wait for sales, then may go a little crazy, but don't really buy much otherwise

I buy a thing or two here or there, but I could live without it

I don't use Amazon/don't have it in my country

Amazon has become way too much of a monopoly. There are also other reason why I don't like them. I quit using it several years ago. I never did have an addiction though.

For online purchases I buy from E-bay most often. I like it better than Amazon and it usually has better prices. I also use Newegg, and order online from some of the brick and mortar stores.

On average we buy roughly 100 USD worth of stuff every month through Amazon but that's cause its either cheaper than other stores or convenient. Thought it was going to be cheaper when Amazon entered the Swedish market but chinese products aren't that great and often it is cheaper elsewhere.

We have amazon but I use it rarely. Lot of their product are only available on so called marketplace of third hand trader and they want money before delivery. I pay mostly by delivery.

Haven't used it for months. It's so often overpriced and or rotten sellers selling items not as described. List is long of reasons that keep me away.

I've shifted a lot of my buying from local grocery and drugstores to Amazon. Toiletries like shampoo and conditioner, body wash, skin lotion, skin conditioner, beard conditioner, etc. Also vitamins and a creatine supplement for weight lifting. It's cheaper and easier to have it delivered.

Likewise I buy all my small appliances off Amazon. Much better selection and pricing for staples like vacuum cleaners, toaster ovens, coffee makers, microwaves, etc.

I've also shifted a lot of my clothing purchases to Amazon. I haven't been in a Macy's, Nordstrom's, Bloomingdales, Saks, or Neiman Marcus in years. I can get Calvin Klein, Nautica, Ralph Lauren, Liz Claiborne, and Wrangler. That stuff is what I'm generally wearing for work and casual. Also, Amazon's own captive Goodthreads brand has some pretty decent casual shirts and pants. Wrangler sells an Amazon exclusive label called Wrangler Authentics that is about 33% cheaper but virtually identical to their normal branded stuff. And I've got 2 Chinese brand Blazers and 2 Sportscoats from Amazon that are 75% less expensive than typical designer labels and the cut / fit is superb. Ties and belts? Don't get me started. $20 on Amazon rather than $75 at a mall.

Tools and yard equipment? Amazon has better deals than Home Depot and Lowes. And some of the Chinese stuff is fine for a non pro homeowner. Impact wrench socket sets for instance. Likewise deals on an EGO chainsaw, string trimmer, blower. A 27 foot pole saw for tree pruning. Etc.

So have I come to depend on Amazon a lot? Yes. But it's all stuff I'd be buying anyway. Amazon saves me a lot of time and money.

If there's anything that resembles an addiction it my cologne hobby, LOL. I get bored easily. I've ended up with about 100 men's colognes. I bought to explore the history and understand the range of stuff available. I was bored. Now I've learned what I wanted to know and I'm bored with that too. So that hobby has sort come to an end and I'm cleaning house to get down to what I actually value and want to keep around. Amazon's fault? Nope, all me.

hi, it is bad enough, i am well aware it is an awful company with awful track record of staff treatment etc etc and yet i still can't help myself because it will be here tomorrow... i have hundreds of pounds of crap in my basket same for temu its adhd therapy... lol

I don’t have an Amazon addiction. I don’t need to pay shipping and handling in order for things that I can’t see to see if I like it or not. I’m certainly not gonna order that many clothes because the materials are not that strong as you think it is real thin shirts Plus, they are pricey for sports shirts and they are tight even extra extra large.
