What kind of Christmas gifts should I buy my poorer best female friend, in future?

Some fancy French chocolates, which she enjoys but which are expensive, or a box of Guylians ($60 cheaper, but still nice); with a $35 bottle of wine and a $7 big chocolate pudding? She can’t afford Christmas gifts, anymore; but I’d still like to continue gift giving to her and our friends will want to chip in. Or should I just ask her?

I bought a friend $400 a pair of shoes, because he is poor. I give people gifts based on what they like or what they need.

Buy her whatever you want to buy her that fact that she doesn't have any money should have no bearing on what you buy her. Don't ask questions like this cause it can make you look snobbish.

I couldn’t care less about how it makes me look. If you had half a brain, it might occur to you that it might hurt her pride to be looked after by a richer friend.
