Does anybody still pay for things with actual cash or is it all through services like Cash App?

My wife gets paid in cash a lot at her job, so we try to pay in cash as much as possible.

I never pay with an ATM card and refuse to use apps.

We do have CostCo cash back cards that we use for buying gas, groceries and some occasional other things. We pay it off every month so as to not owe interest.

I have a credit card with a 1% interest rate that I use for on-line purchases and more expensive items.

I pay a lot of monthly bills with checks.

But we try to use cash because we hate the idea of digital currency. Cash transactions are untraceable and cash continues to circulates in the community when you use it. There is a push to implement CBDC, which would mean that you couldn't hand a homeless person cash, you couldn't make cash transactions at yard sales or bake sales. Everything you did would be tracked. Everything you earned would be taxed.

Some businesses in my area are charging a credit card handling fee of three percent. Also, as in the early years of credit cards. Some places will give a discount. When using cash.
It is hard to do something’s with a credit card. Now a days! Much harder to hack cash!

In Australia very very rarely , but occasionally if I happen to be holding the cash.
