Check pinterest for ideas. I think something that would mean the most of him is a homemade gift. You could get him a box with his favorite candy, a homemade card with maybe a love poem in it, a cute toy/stuffed animal. Two thoughtful things I saw for couples is a date/travel jar, so he can pull out a little slip out of a jar with an idea for a trip or date or activity you guys should do together. Another one was "letters to read if..." so like if you guys had a fight, he's feeling sad, or he needs motivation etc., and you can handwrite those. The last one was like a jar where he would pull out slips and you would write things you love about him

Well I don't know the guy so you're going to have to do your own homework. There's not just universal gifts for everybody. You have to put some thought into the present to make it special. Think about what his work, hobbies interests, likes and dislikes are. Something thoughtful and useful.
