Surprisingly there are a lot of hidden fees & as for the credit card fee not all retailers charge you that fee & a lot for them have to display it at the register or tell you before the purchase. Back in the day you never got charged a service fee for using a credit card & nowadays you have to watch the transaction closely.

What cracked me up in the video when he was giving examples of this, he went to a restaurant and was charged a "cleaning fee". So he asked what the cleaning fee was for? They replied "It's for eating in a clean restaurant".

Yes, I have known about this. I have a credit card that has no surcharges and I pay it in full at the end of the month. I do my banking someplace with free checking and I never use an ATM machine. If a store ever surcharged me for using a credit card i would not go there. I usually pay in cash anyway for most purchases

No problem- I don't use debit cards. We pay off our CC every month = $0 interest. I know within a few cents what my purchases will total out to when checking out of a store. I recheck every receipt before leaving. Only "problem" was on a mission trip to Greece when they had a "table service" charge for the pitcher of water on the table and the glasses to serve it to each patron. Just for that, I'm not going back there!!! :- )

The one thing that isn’t mentioned. I believe that some people can get up to about five percent back on their purchases when they use their credit card. Where does that money come from?
From the retailers? From the ridiculous interest charged by the credit card companies?
People like me who do not carry a balance. They wouldn’t make out so well! Or from the consumer looking for money back from using their cards? And willing to pay inflated prices to get that money back?

In California it is illegal to charge more at the gas pump for customers who use cards. The stations' way around it? Inflate the pump price and give a discount for paying in cash.
