I forget someone's birthday, how can I make it up to them?

I completely forgot about someone's birthday and I feel like a major tool because she is super cool and she remembered my birthday last month. What can I do to make it up to her? I need some really good ideas here, something earth-shattering and mind-blowing. Help me out GAG.

What I'm going to do for my exboyfriend's birthday (we're kinda like lovers now, so that's why I want to make that special) is very simple. Since I don't have a lot of money right now, and I want to keep it special, I'm gonna give him a USB with cool things. Probably you can't be there most of the times, with your friend, but if you give her something to remember you, then it's great. So what I'm going to give him in that USB will be around 20 songs that I haven't shared with him yet, that I know he'll love. A small video wishing him a happy birthday and also saying some stuff about us, some illustration I'll make and finally, some short story (i'm a part time writer). So you see, all of that isn't expensive, it's just the USB for about 7 dls or something, with great thoughts saved in it, and trust me, she'll know you took some time. Grab some music you know she'll like, or save some amazing shortfilms from YouTube, or funny videos... It isn't expensive, it isn't hard, it isn't bad. It's amazing.

IF she doesn't like what you're sharing with her, she still has a USB!

Well at first I thought you could cook some dessert for her. You know, like a brownie, cookies or anything. I'm sure she would have loved it! Thing is, you're saying she's living away, so you can't really send her some food I guess BUT here is the idea I got. You could, as I said, cook a dessert for her but film yourself while doing it like a cooking show. You could add a lot of quirky jokes into it, like mentionning that you chose this recipe for whatever reason (ex: I decided to make you a cheesecake because I wanted to prove you that I could kick some ass and do better than a boxed betty croked chocolate cake alright?). Then you do some nice editing on your computer, make a DVD with it and send it so her with a hand-written card and your recipe. That would be a very, very lovely attention IMO.

lol...you're in quite a jam...i can't really answer on what you should do because it really does depend on what she's into...i see some people suggested that you carry g\her rock climbing or hiking or sing to her or do something super corny. Honestly I would be a little mad that you forgot my birthday but  not mad enough for you to go through all these extremes. Just do something from the heart. it doesn't have to be any grand gestures. just something totally real.

my best friend forgets my birthday every year, but I remember his every time. I don't take it personal anymore, he doesn't have to make it up to me or anything.

However, if this is a woman you seriously care about and want to make feel special... well, you totally blew it lol. Id tell her that it slipped your mind and ask her if you can make it up to her by taking her to Hunger Games or something.

If you really want to go the extra mile, sing her a song.

It shouldn't be that big of a deal.

If you do decide to make it up to her, make sure it's a surprise.

Take her in-door rock climbing, go for a hike, go to a natural (in the ground) hot spring. etc etc.

Do not under any circumstances show her this post. It would be pathetic. If I were you I'd hire a bunch of mariachis and surprise her with a serenata. Romantic mexican style where you declare your love for her at one am in the morning outside of her window.

well you could bring her a few of her favorite flowers and then have a picnic at night and watch the stars. It would mean a lot to her if you went all the way 2 her house. Or send her video of you singing her favorite song whether you suck at singing or your great.

actions speak louder than words in these cases, send her something that takes extra effort like a big box of homemade baking or something you know she loves with a note saying happy belated birthday acknowledging the fact that you f***ed up but really do care.

The best thing you can give someone is attention.. If you are super close to her, then I'm sure she would love to spend time with you.  Even if you're not living close with her, doesn't mean you can't spend time together.  Do you both have computers?  Load up a movie, and get on cam/mic and watch it together.  Send her something through the mail..OR you can get her a gift card for one of her favorite stores, or an online company such as Amazon, and let her buy things that she likes. :)

one way or another nm if you forgot her birthday is never to late to make it up for her. I believe if yu tell her the truth she will understand. try sending her something she mentioned to you she liked maybe you will make her happy by remembering something she liked hope that helped
