I'm sorry to say this as it has nothing to do with the article but only black people have thought the title to be about their race and not what it actually is.. An age old saying that origionated in FASHION!! It has NOTHING TO DO WITH RACE. The colour Black is always considered chic and popular in the fashion world, so "____ is the new black" means that it is now being considered the new 'in' thing. @been_waiting Sadly it's been shown that transitioning doesn't resolve the psychological issues for all of them. Basically showing that the gender id issues are more complex than simply becoming a woman/man. Not everyone finds peace, is what I'm getting at.
Obesity shouldn't be glorified because of the health problems. Transgenders are doing something that benefits their life and happiness, it's not unhealthy for them. Glorifying transgenders isn't going to turn everyone transgender, glorifying obesity will probably make many people lazier.

It is going to destroy the human race. These kind of things will get accepted and seen as normal (really sad). People will get more flexible with these kind of stuff. Once people get more flexible, they will also see other things as normal, like genetic mutation. They will really start to find almost everything normal, which is hated nowadays (like transgender). The future has a lot of new tools to give, yet to be discovered. They will think, 'its normal', because theyre flexible. Think of something, like a pill, that could make you immortal. Humanity should totally not accept that. More and more things will get accepted, and in the worst case, maybe even glorified.

Lol! Nobody is asking others to become transgender, it's just increasing awareness that there are people out there who struggle with their gender identify. We have reached a sad place when the phrase "Natural women for the win!" creates feelings of outrage. Next time some guy talks about robot wives or some other nonsense, I guess we have to accept their metal bride as a real woman as well. I can understand teaching tolerance, but that doesn't mean we have to accept them as being something they aren't.
Honestly, I don't find them gorgeous because they're putting on a load of make up and gone through a lot of surgeries. And I'd rather call them gorgeous being who they really are, being a man. But there are changes that happen early in fetal development that affect the brains of people. If these changes don't go as planned, the fetal brain is forever changed, so it literally is the brain and biology that make these situations more than black and white and make what these people are going through more than makeup and clothes. It's biologically how they are wired.

Transgender may be the new black but it's the old fucked-up.
While I can accept and laud the internal bravery that it takes to become practice transgenderism, we shouldn't laud it as a lifestyle. People who are transgendered are mutants, pure and simple, from a biological and evolutionary perspective. For a true transgender, the cause of the mutation may be genetic or gestational, but, nonetheless, it is a mutation. Cisgendered heterosexuality is the norm and the biological ideal for species propagation and evolution. Meanwhile, lauding transgenderism is dangerous in that weak minds of cisgendered heterosexuals may experiment and eventually end up with psychological problems. This is the nature versus nurture debate.

I would agree with you if not for the fact that she was part of the Kardashians. Popularity and fame make it so privacy, especially in making complete lifestyle choices as such, are impossible. It's actually not impossible. Someone I know personally is actually really famous and he manages his privacy just fine. And since i know him, I've met other famous musicians who also keep under the radar. Everyone thinks it's not possible.. but it is lol. Take a look at other actors/actresses/musicians who are actually more famous than the Kardashians who kept their lives private... even some who didn't have a private life, but then changed it so that they do.

By that reasoning all gay men who identify as male are faking it. sexuality and gender identity are diffrent and by his own admission he has always felt like a women but has always been attracted to women not men. Also my grandfather was gay and had several children with my grandmother before coming out. Fear of judgment can and does cause people to act in certain ways and hide who they truly are.
It's not really like being black. Once they've had the operation and look like the new them, they can walk the streets and nobody will know, they can have friends that don't know, they can hide it if they want to. Black people cannot hide their skin. Black people will be judged regardless, just on appearance. A trans can go for a job and nobody will know they're trans and they won't not get the job because of that, black people can't go to the interview and pretend they aren't black so they're more likely to get the job. They can't pretend they're not black so they don't get followed by security in stores or randomly stopped and searched.
Yea it's a struggle, but it's not as visible as being black so they won't have half as much judgement.

What questionable in this matter is that a grown man in his 60's who has developed mind has decided that he is a female... don't you think that there maybe some sort of illness behind this? a lot of these transgender males are full grown adults... the fact that their denying their gender says a lot more about their mental health and emotional wellbeing.
But what is most frightening of the matter is that society is being desensitised to accept people with possible mental health issues is ok. Thats whats wrong in many levels. I cannot be a conformist to society and accept this problem. I could see the potential damage it will cause in the long run not only in the younger generation but to the generations now.
