People in the working class all over the world are being discriminated their children work and grow up illiterate and there isn't one thread on any forum and some millionaire spends a little of his monthly income changes his identity and everybody calls people ignorant and hateful and bullshits about discrimination.
Mocking a 65 year old man with a penis who wants to be called Caitlyn after living a life is no discrimination compared to real discrimination that is out there in this world. Stop your bullshitting about discrimination if you don't have an idea about it. You're the one being ignorant about the harsh reality of real discrimination.
And nobody's even mocking him. Many are disgusted because seeing a man putting on a thick layer of makeup to look like a woman is not pleasant to watch, whether you want to accept it or not.

@siriuss-black there are millions of threads on many forums concerning all kinds of discrimination. This is not just about Caitlyn, you fail to see the bigger picture. The bigger picture is that there are SO many people out there, who are struggling just like Caitlyn, who are afraid of being who they truly are on the inside, simply because of the huge amount of backlash, discrimination, disrespect and abuse that they would be met by. Caitlyn, although being more privileged than many other trans* people, is able to represent this community and shine light on the issue.
Just because people out there are illiterate or starving to death, it doesn't make this issue less serious, and it doesn't mean that people should keep treating trans* people badly. Both issues are serious. Both deserve recognition.
Why is it unpleasant to see someone transform into a woman? Why is it so shameful to you to be a woman? Why is being a woman so disgusting and bad? Says more about your view on women.
No of course there aren't SO many people like Bruce out there. The population of Gays and bisexuals are a tiny little minority compared to the whole population in every country and transgenders are a tinier minority between LGBT community who aren't even being discriminated like LGBT attempts to show. They are models and actors for Christs sake, what discrimination is there but some people disliking their appearances? Nobody has to like anybody's appearance and everybody is free to express his disgust or love for something that he or she sees. So that is no discrimination.
And of course it does make this issue look unimportant. We don't have enough time to exaggerate every problem we have in the society and more than half of the image of discrimination is now taken over by LGBT community in some way when there are people normal men and women without such psychological and hormonal problems in the same society dying of starvation and no one gives a single shit about them.
And it's because LGBT has taken over most of Media's image for discrimination in west.
There is nothing bad about being a woman. Most of these people still have penises under their skirts, they are no women. Real women were always respected in west in one way or another.

To say that nobody gives a shit about those who are starving to death is ignorant. I didn't say all trans people are actors and models I said you see these actors and models know there is no real discrimination on these people and they have equal opportunities as me and my children. That is equality and there is no discrimination in there.
Those who are starving to death are starving to death and having no equal opportunities because of the very governments themselves. In America in Asia in my own country. I think you think of African people when you hear starvation. No there are people being discriminated in this very country because of the system. And the same system exaggerates and fills the TV of real discriminated people with some middle class people's problems called discrimination.
I don't care if you want to exaggerate or put your time on defending transgenders there are so many people who don't want to do it and also find their appearance unpleasant. So they express their dislike for these people's appearance and choice in carelessness and they are free to do so. Just like you are free to call them beautiful and women as much as you wish.
@siriuss-black not all trans* people are so fortunate to become actors/actresses or models. A lot of trans* people are not allowed a job because they're trans*. Just because a few manage to make something out of themselves, it doesn't mean all trans* people manage to do that. That's not equal opportunity, that's luck and a lot of hard work.
Trans* people are about more than just appearance though. It's their identity. It's who they are. I think you're confusing drag queens with trans* people.

I think those people are STRONG, not weak. They are risking it all for their own happiness and well being. They may be criticized, hurt, and told they are wrong, but they will fight for themselves because nobody can do it for them. Taking care of yourself is not weak.

This is a very offensive headline, to imply that to be transgendered is a fad. It's not a fad. Trans-visibility might be en vogue right now, but that doesn't mean that once we all forget about it, they go back to their former selves. COME ON.
