Wha a stupid and ridiculous post. What just occurred is a borderline/terrorist Attack.
Instead of being a Sissy, Islam should be condemned.
Perhaps you would admire the Orlando shooter more had he did a Suicide bombing like those cool guys in the Middle East instead of shooting
So much more could be accomplished by investigating why people have the desire to kill other people.
Instead we create a system a fail safes to catch people with intent. We set ourselves up for failure while never tackling the underlying issue. The result is a growing animosity towards law enforcement n adherence to traditions that divide people as 'good' or 'bad'.

Seriously, if people complain that america is already pretty violent, banning guns is the last thing you want to do. That is, unless you want america to become like Brazil (where only authorities are allowed to have guns but we still have 10k firearm deaths a year).

You might understand us a bit better if you tried being here for a while. Our violent crime rate is a lot lower than most gun ban countries. Part of it is that it's more dangerous here to rape beat and rob people. It's not like the UK, where a person in a wheelchair or an old lady is guaranteed defenseless.

There are about 80 million law abiding private gun owners in the US. There are more private firearms than there are people, and there are trillions of rounds of ammunition owned by those same people.
Trust me. If we were the problem you'd know it.
We aren't though. Almost none of us has ever fired a round in anger, and we don't ever want to. We just enjoy shooting and value the safety that comes from being able to provide for and defend our loved ones.
That said, how much money would you want to go around knocking down doors to steal all those guns? I think it'd be a high risk occupation, lol!
@Dionysos I still stand by my opinion that a home owner doesn't need an assault riffle to shoot down a deer or for target practice, but at the same time I think it's hard to tell if the gun massacres are increasing in volume or if it's just the fact that we can hop on the computer and see it as soon as we open the front page of the internet. Which basically means everyone sees the news as soon as they arrive at their 8am job.10 or 15 years ago they never had so much news information on the internet like they do now. You had to watch TV and many americans didn't do that back then.

The strictest gun laws didn't stop ISIS from shooting up Paris and Brussels with illegal automatic assault weapons and bombs. A few licenced concealed carry citizens could have saved lives. Liberals refuse to see the truth ISIS bad, immigrants bad. Its very easy to buy firearms in America but if you want to avoid background checks all you need do is buy your ilegal automatic assault rifle from your local Mexican gang member as the Mexican cartel smuggle guns across our open boarder.

Unfortunately, this tragedy occurred. But it had nothing to do with gun laws or gun control. It had everything to do with religious extremism however.

He was on the FBI watch list, yet still had full access to automatic weaponary - this should tell you something.
@WombRaider yeah, I agree. It wasn't that he was a religious extremist - he had demonstrated intent to commit acts of violence previously but nothing was done. Not that much could be done, given the extremely lax gun laws in the US.

You also said it had to do with religious extremism, which it doesn't. Someone who was on the FBI watchlist for three years was allowed to purchase a firearm because of the extremely lax gun laws and complete lack of competent oversight.
