Nirvana was easily the most popular musicians in the 1990s! Nirvana's Nevermind Is easily the most popular album of the 1990s. Songs like Smells Like Teen Spirit Come As You Are Lithium In Bloom Heart Shaped Box were all very popular songs that got played on MTV and radio a lot! Also Heart Shaped Box got played a lot on VH1! The album In Utero also was very popular! Also so was MTV Unplugged In New York was very popular!

REO SpeedWagon

REO SpeedWagon were very popular in the 1980s with albums like Wheels Are Turnin and Hi Infidelity and songs like Keep On Loving You and Can't Fight This Feeling they became very popular and make some very beautiful music.

Nickelback

I've heard how popular they were in the 2000s and have heard people either like or dislike them. But I also heard even if you really dislike them you can't deny how popular they were in the 2000s.

Michael Jackson

Micheal Jackson was definitely the most popular musician of the 1980s! And he was very talented too he has some unbelievable dance moves! Michael Jackson is also an incredible singer!

Eminem was the most popular musician of the 2000s he has had tons of popular albums and songs!

He's one of or the most thought provoking rappers ever!

Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey definitely was a very popular musician in the 1990s and she has a very beautiful voice

Dire Straits was very popular in the 1980s and they're very talented!

Justin Timberlake was very popular in the 2000s and still very popular in the 2010s. With songs like My Love and Sexyback he definitely has had some beautiful and popular songs!

I'd say Nirvana. A lot of underground stuff became more mainstream due to them. Eminem as well, I personally feel like he changed rap a lot (my father would agree with you, he's very thought provoking. He and I will rap a lot of his mainstream songs when they come on the radio, despite the language)
