Bigamy is having one wife too many. Monogamy is the same. Human nature is such that monogamy is a really hard thing to achieve. Marriage requires a special talent, like acting. Monogamy requires genius.

I have to agree that having a girlfriend IS expensive for guys. All of your expenses have to be multiplied by two and not to mention the extra petrol needed to travel to and fro from your house to your beloved one’s house. It is commonly agreed that a guy should not even think about getting a girlfriend if he cannot even afford his own expenses.

However if you really like the girl and the girl likes you as much or more then having a girlfriend can be very much affordable and enjoyable. Meals and movies expenses can be dutch and presents do not have to be shiny and expensive. Most girls will very much appreciate a small and inexpensive or even handmade gift if it is toughtful enough. Unless of course you’re attracted to a materialistic girl then that’s a different story all together.

Assets and liabilities are defined beautifully in the book ‘RICH Dad POOR Dad’ by best-selling author Robert Kiyosaki.

In the book ‘Rich Dad Poor Dad’, Robert Kiyosaki describes about his two fathers. The Poor dad was his real dad and the Rich dad was his friend’s dad. Here is how the RICH Dad taught Robert about the difference between an asset and a liability in simple terms:

An asset is anything that puts money in your pocket.
A liability is anything that takes money from your pocket.

Assets can be a business, real estate, paper assets like stocks, bonds etc. Whereas liabilities can be your expensive car, big house bought on mortgage, iPhone etc.

Easy, Right? Now, the trouble is, anything can be an asset or a liability. In the book Robert argues that ‘Your house is not always your asset’. Let us understand what he means by this.

If you own a house and you pay expenses for running the house like electricity bill, water bill etc, then it is a liability. The house is taking money out of your pocket.

However, if you own a house and it brings thousands of rupees a month by renting it, then it is an asset. The house is putting money in your pocket.
