Are horses better than cars? Some reasons in which people may agree: no pollutants are being released into the atmosphere, wrecks on the streets will be eliminated, and companionship.

Traffic jams are caused by over crowded streets. These cause stress, time loss/time waste, pollution, and many more. In contrast, it is less likely that a horse can cause a traffic jam. They can also, stop quicker than a car may be able to. Therefore, there is no need to manage horses by traffic lights; there will be no traffic jams.

Pollution caused by automobile industries cause a lot of health problems for people. Asthma, respiratory diseases, heart disease, and possibly cancers, are some health problems. Automobile pollution also destroys and reduces crop production. In contrast, horses do no release toxic lead or carbon monoxide, which can cause hazard to living creatures. Although, horses do produce manure. However, manure is a nutrient to the land. It is only pollutant if dropped on railroad because, it can't absorb organic material.

Even the fastest car won't be able to run on rocky ground. As you know, naturally, most land on the Earth is not plain, like railroad in modern cities. Therefore, this means a lot of hidden costs are involved in road construction. Horses have no need for additional infrastructure like roads do. It is able to run equally on plain and rocky ground. They are also able to jump or by-pass obstacles along the way.

It is true by using a car, you can travel faster than by horseback. However, traveling faster means more risk. There are virtually no victims for accidents among other pedestrians. The worse most likely to happen would be a bruised head. Above walking is riding. At this, the most likely to happen is a broken bone. Therefore, you nor your horse is likely to die after a collision. On the other hand, the probability for you to die in a fast-speed car is quite high. Even if you survive, your car will most likely be unusable.

In the modern era, people have delegated basically everything once used to be done by people or animals with robots and machines.The same idea is present with replacing automobiles with equines. Efficiency seemed like a good thing; if it was the only consideration. However, as living and emotional beings, people need to interact with other living beings. Therefore, you can't have that interaction with a car unlike, a horse. Researchers have even discovered owning an animal improves peoples health.

In conclusion, horses do take more travel time but, they are less of a hazard to other people, yourself, and the environment.

Horses were the solution many years back but technology has advanced greatly since. Transportation has expanded so much. Cars are more beneficial for getting you to places quicker than a horse. A horse has the capability of taking you places where cars cannot go. Depends on your purpose on which would be best.
