People debate the meaning of love, some think it never lasts, others think it's not real if it didn't last forever. Some people think it's transient and fragile, others believe the power of love is the strongest of all, some believe in it, others don't. Many think of it as that driving passion towards anything, that absolute desire for a person or a thing.
The desire that's been created due to the ecstasy that comes with fulfilling it. People also believe that love is that connection between humans, and that the mother's love is the purest there's, because it is unconditional, maybe even selfless.
I also happen to have an opinion about love that I'd like to share. I believe that love is a state of mind; it's when you have managed to dampen your ego to a level where you no longer favor yourself over others. Love is when you can genuinely care for people around you as much as you care for yourself, which sounds extreme I know, because it is actually.
It's why it's precious and sacred. Love isn't just the need for the presence of somethings to fulfill certain desires of ours, like security, happiness or satisfaction. I believe the energy of love is something that's generated to the world rather than desired from it.
Love is a state of selflessness, it's the origin of true compassion.
