Introduction
Our society is absolutely riddled with depression and anxiety. And what is the question people are asking? Whats the point anymore or stating they no longer want to go on. This is becuase the meaning of life has changed. It began with a survival instinct, get food get water get shelter reproduce. This kept us busy, it kept us sane. It then moved to religion. How am I going to get to heaven? I'm going to do this, I'm going to do that. With out these aims , without these goals. Our mind is set to wonder, we other think, we complicate things. With a head so wired to look out and prevent danger what does it do when there is none? It makes it up it gets scared, its thinking about the worst case scenario to survive. So with that I add a disclaimer, that this article is for those where the battle of survival is no longer a battle taking place, for those of you in troublesome situations i wish you the best and I'm sure you already know your meaning.

The Meaning
A lot of you are going to be annoyed maybe feel like I've wasted your time by stating this. But the meaning of life, the current one we have is to be happy, is happiness. This doesn't even need to be truly happy in oneself. But contribute a net happiness to the world. It sounds childish, but if you truly strip away all of societies concepts of getting money, getting a house getting a good job. these artificial landmarks which were created to make maximum use of us in the country we live in. What is the point of anything if not to be happy and spread happiness? Strip everything away and this is the only point. It sounds trivial almost of course its the reason. But let's be honest a lot of us get so stressed and over think being successful one has to ask whats the point?
If we truly believe that this is what matters, we can become more happy by it. It's a strange paradox. But when we see people who have conned and cheated their way to get what we see as the meaning of life. E.g Wall Street Brokers. They have it all, the cars the males/women but are they happy and is the time they put into their jobs worth it. Maybe it is for them, but for you? Probably not so don't even bother thinking about it. happiness is relative you can live a better more rewarding life just by being happy with what you have.

Conclusion/Trying to tie it together
The point of this, is the meaning of life is happiness and happiness is relative. So don't care or give a shit about what other people are doing. You can win this life just by being happy. Find what you want and pursue it. Be a good person to others which will in turn make you richer in happiness.

Part of it is also the heavy use of social media. Many people have fake lives and eventually become very narcissistic or crave external validation. Look at how people act in nature. They take photos and selfies instead of enjoying the moment. There is much beauty in this world but many choose to look at the world through a screen.
