The Invisible War: a short poem

We all around the world are fighting an invisible war.

Not between evil dictators, fascists, nor communists.

Not with nuclear weapons, guns, tanks, nor planes.

We are fighting a virus that has never been seen before.

The soldiers are not military personnel, but rather doctors, nurses, hospital and clinic workers, truck drivers, grocery store employees, food delivery drivers, blood donors, and the people in their homes.

The only safety we have to protect ourselves is to wash our hands, sanitize everything, do not panic buy, and stay home.

This enemy knows no religion, party line, age, gender, ethnicity, nor sexual orientation.

We are all in this together in the fight.

It's like a Snowstorm without snow or a wildfire with no flames.

Millions have lost their jobs because of the invisible enemy.

But, millions still fight on to fight it.

So I say to everyone, keep up the fight!

Fight fear with facts.

Fight hoarding with only buying what you need.

Fight boredom with creativity.

For once this is all over, we can look back and see

We all came together to beat the invisible enemy.
