Under any circumstances you shouldn't tell a pet owner whose pet just died
That it's just a [any animal]
That's just rude and disrespectful
It's not just a dog it's nut just a cat
It's someone they grew up with
Someone they raised
Someone they were buddies with
When it gets lonley your little buddy is there for you
Just because it's another species than human doesn't mean its life doesn't matter
My dog died on April 29th 2018
She was a good girl and my best friend
If she saw me alone she would come to comfort me
She is a living being
Not "just" an animal
Saying it's just a dog get over it
It's like saying you just got cancer get over it there are worse things than that
No it's not just an animal
It's someone they spend time with someone whom they enjoyed every second of it
If they cried
Let them cry
They are a life we are talking about
after all

Animals become part of the family, I have shed tears when a longtime family pet has died.
Same I cries when I saw my dog Lilly dead
People without pets don't realize how attached one gets to their pet.
I really can't even begin to understand how some people are cruel to animals and abuse them.
They either think that animals are lesser beings or they just got no empathy
My dog was my baby. I am still messed up about him getting hit. He's not just a dog! They are family!
