Christians are often accused of "being judgmental", as though that's actually something to be ashamed of. It isn't. The only people who don't like being judged are those who have very low, or no, standards. They want to be able to do as they please without consequence or opposition, and will become extremely emotional and defensive when you point out their bad behaviour to them.

As the old saying goes; judge the sin, but not the sinner. Society is collapsing all around us right now precisely because too many have become far too tolerant.

A lot of people were brought up with a weak moral code... I believe that deep down, people know right from wrong... or they come to learn it through experience... but a lot of times, people just don't want to hear it. People will try to be slick or sneaky, lie or deceive to get their way in their interpersonal affairs, or lifestyle choices... for example, it may be illegal to be in possession of certain things, they might abuse drugs or alcohol, or something.

At the end of the day, it never feels good to be criticized, even if that's exactly what someone needs. They're upset that someone found them out, or sees them for who they choose to be, they feel judged, even if that's not your intent. It just shows that deep down, they know they shouldn't be doing what they're doing.

But at the end of the day, it's their choice. Sad, but people are going to do what they're going to do.

That quote makes a good point. And I'll admit, I'm guilty of both behaviors. But I like that, "Judge the sin, not the sinner"

I've actually seen shorter 'MyTake's. But yes, I wanted to keep it short, simple and sweet. I don't like reading MyTake's that just go on, and on, and on, and I'm the type of person who can (and often does) read very long texts and books. I don't get bored easily, but I have sometimes become bored reading someone's 'MyTake'.

Isn't the old phrase "judge not lest you be judged"? I'm not necessarily opposed to someone judging others, but only if they have applied the same standards to themselves first

Of course the same standards would have to be applied to oneself. Being a hypocrite isn't something that one should be.

Typical a person using a saying that makes no sense. You can't just judge the sin but not the sinner. Because if that was the case one shouldn't judge people who repeated commit crimes just the crimes though clearly it's easy to judge that person as a bad person. Because a good person may commit crime but they wouldn't repeat it once realising it's consequences and why it was bad they would learn.
Someone who don't learn is by far the best person to judge.

Also sin is subjective even if you follow religion god himself in that religion is shown to have subjective reasoning, so do with that as you will. If you don't get this then that's all I need to know really to judge you.

Also no. People mostly on a whole don't been liked judged. It's why you wouldn't appreciate someone judging you for been a Christian. As people often keep held tight beliefs that they hold above other's judgement.

The reason christians are called “judgmental” is because they use their religion as an excuse to exclude the people they don’t want in their church communities, which are usually people who are in desperate need of communities to help support them in making their lives better, which is the most un-christian thing I can think of.

Except Jesus Christ himself told people not to judge and then proceeded to hang out with "sinners" because he wasn't self-righteous and understood that you win people over by being an example, not an intolerable asshole.

The world is collapsing around us today because "Christians" (and by that I mean people who follow Christ in name only but do not actually do anything that Christ did or taught), keep attacking everyone instead of loving thy neighbor.

Sometimes people should keep their opinions and preachiness to themselves. Judging with wisdom and love and being judgmental do not look the same. Judgy people who were self righteous and condescending, who were better than everyone else have turned so many people away from the love of Christ.
