Why do most people want to be tall?

Question

I'm a 6'2 young woman and 19 years old and being very tall sucks. Some of my shorter cousins told me they envy my height. I have a younger cousin who's 14 and she's only 5'2. Her mom (my aunt) is only 5'4 and my uncle (my dad's brother) is the 6'1. When I was 14, I was 6 feet! My dad is 6'4 and my mom is 5'7. WHY AM I SO TALL? Why can't I be like 5'9 or 5'5 instead? Would you want to be taller?

I'm a 6' 3.5" guy, and I know it's different for a guy being tall. Still, I wish you would be proud of your being a tall girl, because your height is the trend as girls keep getting taller. You have good genes. I know what it's like when you meet people for the first time, and the first words out of their mouths are "You're so tall!" Ugg. It gets old. I was 6' 1" when I was 14, and I felt so awkward, and I was so skinny. I don't have a problem with being tall anymore. Sure, it can be annoying when so much. . . stuff seems to be designed for the "average" height person, and you find yourself having to bend over a lot, or trying not to hit your head on stuff. I think Maria Sharapova, the tennis player, is a very beautiful woman and she is 6' 2".

I am tall and I like it!
You have a height of a model. You should embrace it. I prefer tall women and so do my friends. Many guys love girls your height so don't be insecure about it cause tall stature AND confidence make for a smoking hot combination :)
It's rare for a girl to be your height, which makes you unique. It adds to your beauty. No offense to anyone, but short girls are just too common, too ordinary. Tall girls are hard to find which makes them more desirable.

I would like to be taller. In my mind, I always think taller women look better. I'm 5'4 and even though that's supposed to be average height everyone comments on how short and childlike I am and I find that offensive. I'd like to be at least 5'8. A friend of mine is 5'8 and she has the perfect body. Unfortunately I'm 28 so I'm not going to get taller. The only way I can make myself taller is from high heels, but that doesn't change my legs or anything. I think taller girls have beautiful legs.

Are you my clone? I'm 6'1 and a little but more than 1/2! I'm 22 now and I love my height! Always hated being the tall girl through elementary, middle, and even Highschool but college is when I really appreciated the beauty if my height. Yes most guys want a petite girl but hey it eliminates to the good guys that do want you. Never got guys at that time but now it's just amazing and older guys could care less about how tall you are

I wanna be taller, but not tall. I'm 5'2 and it sucks having to always stand on my toes and when I walk with really tall people in louder places I have to stand up taller and they have to like squat down. It's annoying lol. being shorter gets annoying.

I guess I'm the only person who actually likes being short lol. I never have to worry about hitting my head on anything and I don't have any problems finding guys who are taller than me because the vast majority of them are =)

I don't want to be taller. My license says 5'4" which I lied about lol I'm 5'6" off the records. Just put your height to good use. ^^ Move to the Netherlands and date tall men :D do some modeling or simply show off your legs. Love what you are and you'll never be unhappy with yourself.

Being petite is no fun either. You jabe to potty toe, have a difficulty time reaching stuff and I don't like being called shorty either. Short women don't like to be called cute and adorable and we want to be treated like women. Plus taller women look elegant and mature and shorter women want that and some people don't take shorter people seriously. I'm 4'10 and I want to be taller. A few more inches would be nice. You're so lucky to be tall.

I'm 5'9 so would consider myself as being tall, I think height makes you a better shape. I'll still wear my 6 inch wedges though for even more height because it annoys all of my friends who are much shorter than me haha. I think it limits the amount of guys I would date because I'd like to be able to wear heels when around them but other than that I love it.

Your cousin will still grow , she's only 14. Besides , most girls nowadays lie about their height to make them feel shorter. I think your height is amazing , it wouldn't show if you gained a few pounds plus tall girls can pull off just about anything!

I like my height right now but for girls some think about how those "perfect" models are tall and thin with long legs maybe they wanna have that "model figure" even though most of them don't look like that in the first place

I think there's like this ideal height range that everyone wants to be in Guys want to be between 6ft and 6-3 and girls want to be between 5-7 and 5-9.

It can look elegant or statuesque kind of like a swan. Being tall is awesome. Some tall people have a intimidation factor working in their favor sometimes not.
