1. I'm from the same country as @ itsme_goodsamaritan :-D
2. This country today has 29 states under a parliamentary system (typically the Brit one) and 7 Union Territories
3. Further there are about 122 recognized languages but the suspected dialects here including those in deep forest and tribal territories are suspected to be around over 800
4. This country is also the birthplace of various religions like Hinduism, Sikhism, Jainism & Buddhism apart from being an eternally secular country and hence hosts and recognizes almost every other religion. There are Zoroastrians (less than 1%), Islam (appx 17/20%), Christianity (appx 4/5%) etc
5. This country was populated over 70000 years ago and since then has not only evolved but also been conquered, expanded etc multiple times and today stands with 2nd largest population in the world. Hence, it has many more cuisines than most places - many of which civilization may not even know lol
6. Let's try to list out some here apart from the cuisine mentioned by @ itsme_goodsamaritan which is primarily South Indian
6.1. www.storypick.com/28-must-dishes-28-indian-states/ (this one about sums up all states but there is much more than these)
6.2. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Indian_dishes
6.3. www.indiacurry.com/.../popularindianstatefoods.htm
lol the list is endless - almost ;-) I liked this question :-D
Looks so delicious :)

Well I am a New Zealander living in New Zealand.
Traditional foods in New Zealand are:
Seafood: We are surrounded by water and have endless seafood options. Many dishes contain seafood.
New Zealanders are keen farmers. The country has a strong farming industry. We have world class lamb and also provide one third of the worlds dairy products. Lamb is normally roasted served with gravy and roasted potatoes and veggies. This is normally served with a nice wine (New Zealand is also makes high quality wines).
Hangi. This is a traditional Maori way of cook. Maori people are also New Zealanders. We have two cultures here the European culture and the Maori culture. A Hangi is when food is cooked in the ground using heated rocks. Food that is cooked is usually meat, potatoes and veggies I think it is.
Hokey Pokey ice cream, Pavlova and Trifle are all common New Zealand desserts.
Fish and Chips are also extremely popular here.
New Zealanders also love their fancy cheeses and crackers combined with a high quality wine.
This lists some of the popular foods in New Zealand. All of these foods are so nice.
Have a nice day :)
Thanks for the informations :)
Your welcome :) oh and BBQ's are extremely popular during the summer. New Zealanders invite mates over and all have a BBQ with sausages, steak, salad, onions, sometimes we cook potatoes on the BBQ to. We often drink beer with this but I think some women especially probably drink wine.
You have an amazing country :)
You're welcome :)
Poutine and the rest vary depending region.
Moose, Butter Tart
but through my background it would be
Injera, beef stew, lamb,
A traditional Eritrean dish would look like this:

Two things wrong with what she's doing.
1. She's using two hands (I would get slapped for that)
2. She's eating the whole plate on her own lol. It's meant for multiple people.
It looks delicious :)
Buy a cook book and teach yourself how to cook food as i did :)
I live in the United States and there really is no traditional food for the country outside of turkey during Thanksgiving.
I don't even know what the traditional food for my region would be...
For my family, however, I would say gumbo, jambalaya, turkey, ham, stuffing (some places call it filling) corn, venison (deer), and some sort of burrito. I'm not sure what it's called at the moment, but it has beef, sour cream, chicken, rice, a few peppers (habanero, jalapeno), with hot sauce poured over the outside covering the entire burrito. I think I'm missing a few things, but it's really good and someone in our family always makes it when we come together as a family (aunts, uncles, cousins)
This is so sweet i really like it :)
I was looking up traditional foods in Michigan (the state I live in) and I completely blanked on a couple of obvious traditions here. I feel ashamed...
Vernors. (ginger ale Soda Pop) If you mix vernors with vanilla ice-cream you get what is called a boston cooler.
Cornbread... I love cornbread... It's pretty popular here.
Mackinac Island, an island between the upper and lower peninsulas of Michigan, is famous for its fudge which any Michigander will tell you is the best in the world. (I really don't know how I forgot about this)
Packzi, a sweet, fruit or custard-filled pastry is a tradition Fat Tuesday treat in Michigan where Fat Tuesday is called Packzi day by locals.
If you go up to the Upper Peninsula pasties are very popular. Pasties are small pot pies made with rutabaga filling
This is a Pasty.

These are good foods actually :)
Oh my god it looks really delicious :)
They do taste pretty amazing! And if you can read the small print then you have the recipe. Just remember that the temperature is set at Fahrenheit not Celsius.
It's nice to know about this food I'm going to try to cook it someday. And it's also nice to try something different from bulgarian food :)
I guess that is one thing that is nice about being an American. Our traditions are really just a combination of other countries old traditions with a few original traditions thrown in the mix.

I live in the United States around here it's hamburgers, steak, country fried steak, hotdogs, fried chicken barbecue (were known for it), mashed potatoes ( real not that fake box stuff) corn on the cob, anything that comes off a grill.. Desserts being smores which are made from a campfire.. Did I mention barbecue..
Are you from Russia?
I live in the United States so I guess hamburgers or something. Its a country of other ethnicities so I don't have a clue. Probably McDonald's since everyone eats there 6 times a day.
Nice :)
No i'm bulgarian :)
In Spain we have many, but I'm going with the best ones for me:
Paella, Chorizos, and the best of all... Jamon Iberico, oh God, it's delicious, one of the best things you could ever try. With my family, it's the only thing I miss from Spain.
If you're lucky enough to find some in the US, don't hesitate and buy it... even though it's kind of expensive, but TOTALLY worth it.
Is it really delicious? :)
It is! It's one of the best things you could ever eat. Something that you HAVE to try if you ever go to Spain. But as I said before, it's expensive. In a restaurant, a plate would cost between 17-20 euros, which is roughly $22-$26. According to Wikipedia a pound would be around $52-$96 depending on the brand.
Definitely, in my top 5 of favorite food.
I need to try it someday :)
just search for greek food and you'll see. souvlaki is the most popular but i hate it as hell. it taste likes rotten meat made from cat, as well most of the majority of greek food (mousaka, gemista, etc) is totally smeared with olive oil and your mouth will get sticky afterwards because of it... BLEEEH.
seriously my country has one of the shittiest cusins around the earth and i find it unbelievable what the hell you like you foreigners... LOL
@βιυεsκγs because this country has offered me nothing... and the people here are so damn traditional, most of them at least.
and since we talk about food this STINKY smell of souvlaki restaurants all around the country makes me wanna puke... it smells like dead animals... YUUUUK. almost each town in Athens, has at least 50 of those.
Mole, Cochinita Pibil, Paella/ Arroz a la Tumbada, Birria, Pozole, Bacalao, Chicharron, Camarones al Mojo de Ajo, Coctel de Camaron, Mixiotes, Menudo, Mollete, Sincronizadas, Sopes, Tlacoyo, and of course Tamales. I am from Mexico with heavy Creole influences. :-)

*kare kare
Fired chicken turnip greens mashed potatoes French fries burgers crawfish sausage potatoes and corn Mac and cheese redbeans and rice
Great :)
I'm not really sure what's considered traditional food in Canada. There are things that are uniquely Canadian though. Traditional food to me is Russian food since that's my ethnicity.
In Mexico we eat chilaquiles, tacos, burritos, quesadillas, salsa ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love Mexican food :)
In the US, I'd say our "traditional" foods are kind of boring
Can you tell me why? :)
Well the US is a relatively new country so our culture isn't as developed (at least that's my theory. ) plus we are really just a combination of different cultures. We're not known for any particular foods of our own creation. There's some but not many.
Oh, thank you :)
Burgers and hot dogs, we are a bunch of fat Americans here! Num, num, num!
In the usa if you are in the south, we have some amazing bbq.. pulled pork sandwiches with coleslaw on them and ribs to die for
America is mixed with many cultures but I think BBQ would be one traditional, or basically everything on a regular Thanksgiving dinner!
Rice and beans accompanied with some chicken wings :)
BBQ everything. Pork, cow, chicken. Soul Food, Creole style food. Hot Dogs, Hamburger, Fries
A lot of stuff burgers, pizza, tacos, fried chicken
I live in Algeria and our traditional food is COUSCOUS.
