Are chaff grenades real?

For those who dont know a chaff grenade is a grenade used to jam electronic signals. Including security cameras. I got it metal gear solid and wonder if the actually exist

It started in wwII as a way to jam radars of German night fighter aircraft. The British developed it. It was nothing but squares of tinfoil and they called it window. The British bombed Germany at night and the night fighters were taking a huge toll of the British bomber fleet. Its still in use today by aircraft that get a target alarm signal. They press a button and the plane drops chaff to confuse the middle fired at it. Don't know that it would work on a camera

I always used to like... put little feathers inside of a plastic container with a firecracker laced inside of it and pretend they were Chaff grenades when I was a little kid.

I felt like a bona fide reg'lar old badass.

They do exist, but they use is classified.

dont think so, but im sure you can get stuff like signal jammers and other devices that cause eltrical disturbances to the cameras

Not yet, but there are prototypes in research laboratories to be used for military purposes.
