Why do a lot of black people say AKS instead of ask?

I'm actually black and can pronounce words correctly and enunciate. It's not just black people. Any race can say things incorrectly. Maybe they are too lazy to pronounce the word correctly or they think it sounds cool. The world may never know lol.

Yeah I know people mispronounce words all the time, I just noticed that this particular word has been pronounced as "aks" by many black people. I'm not saying all black people, but I have never heard any other race say this word like that. So I was curious as to why.

Yes many do even in music and movies so the black people triggered by this must not be into black entertainment. Not the indoctrinated type you see from most mainstream channels.

Ahhh a lot of the time i say axe without knowing due to rushing my sentences when i get excited as well as my New York accent

From my experience it's usually people of particular slang. Not really a race thing.
