What is it called when a picture has no background?

The type you can copy and paste onto your own background, like an icon? What's that called?

Well I know the file type for pics with transparent backgrounds is called png

PNG is not the only format that supports transparency. GIF does too, for example.

Yep, there is no denying that :P It's called asperger's syndrome (in my case anyway!). That being said though, the point of this website is to get questions answered, and that kinda loses its value if wrong answers aren't corrected, so there's that.

The joke is that the husband saw that the supermarket had eggs but the wife didn't specify that she wanted 6 eggs, she just said get 6 so he ended up getting 6 cartons of milk instead. That's how computer logic works so that why I compared you to the husband.
