What does “see things in black and white” means?

I found out a guy I liked is married to someone else. He sent me a photo of him wearing a black tie with a white tuxedo. He said you should see things in black and white. What could he mean by this? He said that he’s not leaving his wife. I asked could we be friends

As a figure of speech, it means seeing things as either totally right vs totally wrong, all good vs all bad, etc with no vague "gray" areas of doubt wither way. Whether he meant it in this way or some other, we may never know.

if he's married and he told you he isn't leaving his wife is like he is telling you to stop trying to move on him type of thing but I don't know tbh
