ahha I was in a really small club once in Ghent (Belgium) with color-changing décor like that. It was really cool -- the club was actually built inside the remnants of a catacomb that was literally at least a thousand years old. ... yeah, ok, I know that Drake is the butt of jokes like that ahah
Well, I think the stonework was a little less elaborate / more "rough"-looking, in the place I was in. And there was a LOT more color-changing neon everywhere (although obviously that was all temporary, and could have been removed at a moment's notice with any change of theme -- and we all know how clubs change themes every year or two anyway). But yeah that was the general color scheme of the place, minus the neon lol.
I have seen the Drake memes, now that I think about it. I just don't think I've necessarily separated them from making fun of Canadians in general before.
Yeah, this was back when the color-changing neon still had a WOW factor, since it was still brand new. Now it's at Ikea for $5 or whatever for a four-pack 😂😂
I've been in the Paris catacombs. I COULD NOT STAND UP STRAIGHT THE WHOLE TIME. Granted, this also made them less creepy than otherwise, but... still. STILL. If you are over about, say, 5'8", you are going to be doing a lot of ducking. The Paris catacombs are still full of human remains -- like, the walls are literally still made of human skulls and bones -- so, not exactly party time.
